It was a regression. The dealer has been telling me I was in E for a month and they just sent me a text telling me I was in D.
What?!? That's crazy. Sorry man. Learned something new today, unfortunately at yout expense. I didn't think anyone could regress from E, unless of course you were never actually at E. Hoping you get back on the schedule quickly.
I was starting to wonder because the dealer told me I was at E a month ago with no other updates. I don't understand why it's so hard to get a solid status. I get that there seems to be no rhyme or reason as to how builds are done, but they should be able to let you know where you are in that fiasco ?.
My dealer told me that 4AK is not a regression code, as I asked him weeks ago when 4AK showed up on my tracker, and I thought it was a regression from D to C (since it is called "Schedule D to C Tracking"). The day it showed up, I texted my dealer and he texted me back saying "I'm looking at Dealer Tracker now and your order is still in D status," and then sent me a printout of Dealer Tracker confirming as much.
She hasn't sent me the printout but I went in there a couple weeks ago and she showed me the dealer tracker screen. I just got another text saying that I didn't regress and I was still in "build", and the D code was an internal thing. There has been nothing in the tracker moving me from C to...anything, but they did add the code meaning the tracker appears to be working. At this point I don't know whether I'm shot, fucked, powderburned or snakebit. I'm just going to roll with it because I still have my '18 to play around with. My wife decided that she wanted it so we're keeping it instead of selling or trading. If it takes them too much longer, and interest rates keep going up, I'm just going to cancel the order and wait the Fed out. They haven't charged a deposit to my credit card so I'm not out anything if I cancel.
Nah…….no one here cares about the arrival their builds……just a hunch based on reading this thread ?.
I actually have been wondering if the 4AK description ("Schedule D to C tracking") is written backwards.4AK will probably remain a mystery. I’m sure nobody will care once their Jeep shows up. My personal experience with it:
order confirmed Aug 13th.
Dealer called with vin, D status 8-26.
4AK came on 9-9.
Welcome to Jeep email, 10-5.
4XV code added, 11-5.
I call the dealer occasionally to check in. His response is always “moving back and forth between D and C, should see D1 any day now”

I’d buy that, BUT, looking at build sheets on Crypto (when it works), not every build has “schedule D to C tracking”assigned to it, but you know every build has gone from C to D.
