2023 Gupton Ordering, Tracking and Delivery Reports

One thing to think about when selling as opposed to trading a vehicle in. If you pay $60,000 for your Jeep, you pay tax on $60,000. If you trade in your old Jeep and get $30,000 for it, then you only pay tax on $30,000. Taxes on $60,000 is $4500, but taxes on $30,000 is only $2250. The taxes my county of Ohio the tax is 7.5%. But if they offer enough more on just selling it would be worth it.

7.5% Ouch! Glad I’m driving back to Texas first … only 6.25% here.

See if Gupton will match the Carvana offer? Then you get everything you wanted for the vehicle, AND the tax benefit. Win win? Doesn't hurt to ask.

Well there is one of disadvantage of him trading his Jeep in to Gupton. He would have to drive it from Texas to Gupton...

At least he would have a nice, long, last drive in it to say goodbye. Maybe he doesn't get attached to vehicles like I do though and that's not important to him.

Made it to scheduled! It does occur to me that while they say that it's been scheduled, they don't tell you for when. Hurry up and wait mode continues . . .

You can contact the dealer and they should be able to tell you an estimated "ship" date, which is more realistically your build date. Nice color combo by the way! It was between this and Sting-Gray for me.

Posted this in the main 2023 thread … but is potentially significant to other Gupton orders. My order was confirmed 6/15. I have no updates from Jeep, pizza tracker or waitingforjeep.com since being scheduled on 8/1. However, cryptostickers shows my build sheet found in past 24 hours. This is the first instance I’ve seen mentioned where cryptostickers was showing production status before anything else. My ship date was 9/5 as of a couple weeks ago. So could be some other Gupton orders are in same boat?

This is great . . . if your state does it. Texas gives trade-in credit for sales tax, but California does not. I learned that one the hard way!

I ordered 6/25 with Gupton and it was delivered 9/2. I'm shocked by how quick it was but I'm not complaining.

Picked mine up Saturday, 9/3. Renee said mine was the first 2023 . Everything went really smooth. I was on the road about an hour and a half after I got there. Probably would have been faster but I arrived 2 hours before my appointment and had to wait a little while.

The ride home was an adventure. We got stuck in several small but strong storms. One was so bad I couldn’t see 5 feet in front of me and had to come to a complete stop. I was afraid someone was going to hit me but made it through.
