Agreed. I didn't take before/after sound levels, but I've noticed that since I installed the HotHead kit I don't need as much volume on the radio. Definitely worth it to me!
Thanks to this write up, I got this done on my 2023 4xe last weekend at 10K miles. I was surprised at how dirty the front diff fluid was; from reading here I expected the front to be cleaner than the rear, but they were about equally dirty on mine. Both axles had stuff accumulated on the little...
In the 2023 MY, if you want the 3.6 without e-torque then you have to get the manual. If you want an automatic without e-torque, then you have to go with the 2.0 or the no longer available diesel. Early on, the JL was offered with a 2.0 e-torque but it was discontinued. I suspect that the...
So far, the one quote I've gotten was $700 from my local Maaco. Not my first choice, honestly - I just stopped in and asked a few days ago because I was pulling out of the grocery store down the block.
I've got some new fender flares that need paint. Before I take them to some random shop, does anyone have recommendations for a paint/body shop in the Long Beach or LAX area? Thanks!
Set of 4 Gladiator Rubicon wheel & tire take-offs. I picked these up from a forum member and ran them on my Willys for a few months until my 4XE arrived. Tires are Falken Wildpeak A/T AT3W LT285/70R17 Load Range C. Tire date codes are 1520 and 1620. Exact miles on the tires unknown, but he said...
I picked up my JLUR 4XE at Gupton, outside of Nashville, and almost immediately hit the road for the west coast. Since then, it's been on a round trip from LA to Texas and back again. If you're not planning serious offroad expeditions, I'd suggest looking at the Sahara over the Rubicon. The...
It sounds like what you want can be accomplished with almost any of the trims. You can spec a Sport S, a Willys, or a Sport Altitude with the same equipment and they will all come in within a few hundred dollars of each other - and about $10K less than a Rubicon with similar options selected...
I suspect that it's because the folks that got the diesel are generally more active and involved owners. I doubt that anyone in a diesel Wrangler got it by accident, whereas a number of the gassers are being driven by random people who just wanted a Jeep but aren't into the whole community thing.
I see that the Freedom edition is still offered on the configurator. We all know how accurate that it is(n't). Is it really still possible to order a Freedom edition? Asking because I kinda think that I might want to go that route but I seem to recall that they were going to be a limited offering.
I picked up a set of seat protectors from Covercraft. They fit well and weren't too difficult to install, but aren't particularly cheap. Figure on spending a couple to several hundred bucks.
