(5) A better design for the charge level indicator.
Are you referencing the indicator lights on top of the dashboard? I've thought these are one of the best designs I've seen. What is it about them you don't like?

I don't get why they made it so big. LEDs are tiny, they could have made that whole assembly not take up the whole dash pocket.

Couldn't agree more. They don't have to be on the inside dash at all. It could just be a illuminated ring around the charging port area or line this up along the top edge of the windshield close to where it meets the roof.

Or just recessed into the pocket so you could still see but they didn't "ruin" existing dash pocket mods (letting you cover over it even if so desired).

I heard on the @Wrangler4xefans podcast that they are working on making the Max Regen setting a sticky option (once activated it will just default to that setting the next time until you turn it off). Hopefully that will be available by the time the 2022s roll out of the factory.
Other things I'd like to see are -
(a) More colors (Earl from the Gladiator Farout concept would be awesome) and
(b) Look at creative ways to reduce the weight of the vehicle - potentially a carbon fiber hardtop ,fender flares and hood, lighter ergonomically designed seats as well as replacing the hard plastic parts inside with hard wearing lighter weight materials.

If you install a mini Tazer, the max regen setting is mostly sticky. It stays on about 80% of the time.

Adding to the wishlist - (1) Locked Charging port cover ( should open only by operating an actuator - electric or mechanical inside the vehicle or on the keys
Why would you want a locking chargeport cover? I see no need (and would be upset if there was one). Are you worried about people hooking a cable up, attached to a tube and then they suck the electrons out of your car? (I'm pretty sure that is not possible).

Dash depth and windshield angle of the Wrangler aren't HUD friendly.
. . . .

A simple test is to place your phone at the base of the windshield to see where the reflection appears. This gives you an idea of where the projector would have to be placed and what angle it would need to be oriented.
Mazda had a solution that they eventually gave up on, but might work for jeep...

Wireless Carplay will not come until the interior refresh, which might be for the '23 model year. The Wrangler had an interior refresh after 5 years in the JK and I think the TJ. They will have to put in a Uconnect 5 system for wireless Carplay, which would require a new center stack. I think that for '22 we will see a quarterly price increase, and only changes in available colors. Maybe some general changes for Wrangler, but nothing for 4XE particularly. Then I think there will be a technology refresh for '23 with the interior refresh. If anything for '22, they might add Offroad+ for the Rubicon.
There’s already an Off-road+ for Rubicon’s 2021 models and up

I am not worried about someone stealing power ..... which would require quite the hack and not quite worth the effort unlike siphoning gas off a car lol. But I do worry that some goofball vandalizing the charging port that's all.

There is no Off-Road+ on the 4XE....

What exactly does it give the gas powered versions? I think you can lock the lockers in high gear?

Once in Off ROAD+, the vehicle will begin to
behave in different ways depending on the 4WD
mode in use. The following enhancements will
occur when using Off ROAD+.
4L (4WD Low)
 Engine/Transmission Calibration: Rock Crawl
and controllability focus, change in shifting
schedule when rock crawling, pedal calibration
shifted to de-gain and low range, operates
at lower vehicle speeds
 Traction Control: Aggressive brake lock differential
tuning at slower speed or FIRST gear
 Off ROAD+: Recall the last status between
ignition cycles
4H (4WD High)
 Engine/Transmission Calibration: Improved
sand performance/ wheel slip focus, change
in shift schedule for sport mode, pedal calibration
set to aggressive, operates at
elevated vehicle speeds
 Traction Control: High wheel speed, slip
tuning brake lock differential with no engine
management
 Electronic Stability Control: ESC Off with
unlimited speed
 Off ROAD+: Will default to OFF between ignition
cycles
Cruise Control and Adaptive Cruise Control
(ACC) will not function while using Off ROAD+. A
dedicated cluster message will display
indicating this if either feature is activated while
in Off ROAD+.
If the ESC OFF button is pushed while in Off
ROAD+, the following will occur on the vehicle:
 Push of the ESC OFF Button: Traction Control
will turn off, but Stability Control will remain
active.
 Hold the ESC OFF Button for five seconds: Traction
Control and Stability Control will turn off.

That's called a combiner HUD. There's still practical limitations in how far up into the driver's field of view you could project the image. The further you get from the hinge point of the combiner, the more susceptible the image is to vibration. A shaky HUD image is highly distracting.

My wife has a Mini Clubman JCW with this style HUD. I likely would have selected it if it was an available option on my build order.
