Well, apparently starting with an old Mustang and then moving on to a Jeep is a thing? My first car was a 65 mustang 289 v8 3 speed. Absolute blast to drive.
Dude ran a stop sign and turned left right in front of me and it got totalled.
Next vehicle... 7 9 CJ-7.
A few years later, while I...
No issues with the stock sahara wheels & tires on the beaches in Central FL, and light off-roading fire roads/trails in the area. Still swapped them over to 392 takeoffs eventually.
You always have the i4T and electric motors when needed, even when it says you're >0% on the battery. The big difference is that once you reach that point, the system will sap some energy to keep the battery at it's 15% reserve, but you're never without the extra power though.
I drove from...
It isn't as comfortable on a long road trip as my last Mustang, but I wasn't regretting my swap to the 4xe either. I've made about that same drive three times now (a little shorter... Central FL to Baltimore and back).
Be it trim, power plant, mods, model year etc. it seems that a large number of Jeepers use some reason to talk down to or look down on others.
My favorite though is when people do this to one sub group for whatever reason, then takes exception with another sub group for doing the same to them!
I have no issues adding or removing them. The two pics below with the mirrors installed (and charging) are low res. If it will help, I can take better pics tomorrow.
I drove 1800 miles round trip on both sets and didn't find much of a difference. Stock tires are little better on the road in terms of handling, the BFGs were a little smoother ride (especially at 36 psi) but not a significant difference either way.
This happened to me twice... both times before the updates/RRTs. Once on the stock Sahara wheels and tires, and again on the 392 take offs. Both times within a week or two of each other. Both times I was driving at sustained higher speeds (70-75 mph), the ICE was not on, and I lost power...
I did some non scientific testing over the course of a couple road trips from FL to Maryland. The difference in MPG from 70-80 is significant. Keeping it under 75 I ended up ~24mpg over the entire drive up.
10k miles. No issues until this past week. Jeep was dead two mornings in a row and had to be started with a jump pack. Everything seems fine though and I'm pretty sure my phone and the wireless Car Play adapter are to blame. Trying to confirm that now. Even this is just a minor...
