Pulled this from ford flex forum where someone had similar issue. K&N may have removed it from their website and may not claim this any more

If it really doesn't specify no aftermarket... then you have a leg to stand on, and best of luck to you.
But case in point, I mentioned I would have only considered a lifetime warrantee that likely locks me in to a bunch of weird service agreements if the vehicle was only used as a commuter. Since it's not... I wouldn't have considered it. I realize that is backwards from what you'd initially think... but warrantees have stipulations. I'd want the ability to turn my vehicle into whatever I want, so a warrantee wouldn't really make sense.

Edit: also you mentioned you have an the receipts from services and oil changes. Nice, but that's also not what the dealership is claiming to have issues with.
No but that was the first thing they asked for and I provided. Then they denied stating no record yet there was record right in their file in their face. Ive had to point out things they said were missing by numbering the pages for them so when telling them where to find info I can simply say “see page ..” However I didn’t want a bunch of people stating or assuming maintenance wasn’t done. It very much so was. After trails it immediately got cleaned. I played but I also maintained it properly.

I bought my Jeep at Secret City Jeep in Oak Ridge and it came with a lifetime warranty on drivetrain.
I can tell you my wife's Escalade was denied a $9k engine repair for a known lifter issue by her extended warranty people. What a scam.

My dealership gave me a free "Warranty Forever". I threw the paper away when I got home, everything voids it. This must be a loop hole in the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act for these "warranties" to exist. When I read it, it seemed like it was a scam to drive service business to the delivering dealer and my dealership's service department SUCKS!

Does that matter? I’ve never had to deal with anything like this so I’m legitimately asking. I just went to the closest dealer to me when the smoke/steam started and that was 3.4 miles.
Dude, you are so far beyond the misinformed point I don't even know where to start.

Stellantis does not offer a lifetime warranty anymore. They have not since 2018. The warranty you "think" you have is a dealer offered "lifetime engine warranty". This warranty is only good for the actual dealer you bought it from. In nearly all cases this in-house warranty requires you to complete every single service at said dealer. 9/10 times the dealer will also not honor it.

You do not have any warranty through Jeep itself. You need to understand that. Your warranty was not denied because of an aftermarket air filter. It's possible the dealer is blaming it for the cause of failure, but that doesn't change anything.

For what it's worth, nearly all "better" air filters make more power because they filter less. Less filtering results in a higher chance of particle ingestion into the engine. If you ran a K&N air filter and a bore scope reveals your cylinder walls are scored resulting in low compression then it is highly likely that's what happened.

On another note, our engines are quite literally designed for 150-200k. Yours failing at 151k is roughly the average life that is expected.

I think the issue you're running into with this thread is there's plenty of people who have been screwed over by warrantee work, and very few who actually have success stories lol. Makes the responses very pessimistic...

I hope everyone who owns a jeep and has thought or are currently using an after market air filter ie K&N, or any other brand, you void your lifetime warranty by using these better air filters. My 2020 JLU has all maintenance records oil, oil filter, spark plugs, water pump, serpentine, etc….never ran hot. Never gave me a warning. I started it one evening to go to store and suddenly was surrounded by steam. Still no check engine light. Call dealer they say bring it to them (3.4miles) as I was pulling into dealer my check engine light came on but jeep had run great. Just by driving it in, no one would have thought it was blown. However none of that matters if you use an “after market” filter that is better than the factory. I was just denied my claim bc of this air filter. @JeepCares they don’t care. I treated my jeep like a baby. 1st Jeep and in love with it. Lots of miles but I did my maintenance and more and can prove it but they don’t care bc it has an after market air filter….be aware and take note everyone jeep wants their every 30,000 mile money for that air filter or you void that lifetime warranty.
BS. Sue them. You have a case.

All I found on Jeep's site was 3 years / 100k miles. That could obviously be wrong since it not exactly a great source of details.
It's 1 year 12k miles for *everything* including brake pads and clutches.
3 years/36k miles for bumper-to-bumper
5 years/60k miles for powertrain

We used to have a 5 year/100k mile powertrain but that disappeared half a decade ago.

Again people, jeep does not offer a lifetime warranty after 2018. JEEP DOES NOT OFFER A LIFETIME WARRANTY ON 2020's. Anything OP has is an aftermarket warranty, or more likely one of those "buy a car here and we'll warranty the engine forever!~" types of dealer scams.

The 3.6 is not know for head gasket issue. Air intake would not do that also. As for the temperature pretty sure the info would be stored in the computer if the event would have happened.
If you are confident on your lifetime warranty, get it fix and go to litigation.

Ok whoa…not a dude. Don’t wanna be.. Anyways…Warranty is from dealer however when I called to schedule appt they were 30+days out and said I could go anywhere. Yes I was misled by a female/male working there….now I understand a little better and will take to dealer I bought the vehicle from. They are not blaming it on the filter per se, they are denying based on not using mopar parts. However, nowhere in fine print is it stated I have to use mopar parts nor does it state I have to use their dealer. I just have to document mileage, date, and receipts to back up the service dates. Which I did. so now they are saying that bc Jeep calls for air filter change every 30k and I didn’t change the reuse K&N every 30k then I didn’t follow maintenance. And if these engines are quite literally designed for 150/200k they shouldn’t cost so much and when purchased, they shouldn’t come with lifetime warranty and if one would expect someone to not use it simply bc this is quite literally how far they go then that’s someone else problem. Not mine. Just sayin
