Hi everyone, my 2020 jlur has 1556 miles on it and it does 13.4 mpg. Dealers told me it will get better by adding more miles on it

- I am using the stop function when on red light
- when I start from red light car starts very slow, or when I do turns the car kinda gets very lazy so that is right some time I gotta push the gas a bit harder to make the car go, but I mean if I dont it takes while from 0 to 30
- sometimes I keep car idling for 10-15 minutes ( 2-3 times a week)

those are the things comes to my mind which can effect fuel consumption but cmon 13.4 mpg looks very bad to me. Any advice appreciated.

That seems low to me. Did you add bigger tires by chance? That would reduce gas mileage. I am getting 20 on average running 35's, but I did regear to 4.56.

Which engine? What's your elevation? Are you wearing lead boots? That is wayyy low for stock.

Don't do that.

Your MPG will go up as you put more miles on it.

I have a '19 JLR 2.0T that is totally stock. I leave the ESS/eTorque ON all the time. I fill with premium Top Tier. Tire pressure is 36psi cold.

My MPG initially were 15mpg-16mpg (85% city/15% highway) for the first couple of thousand of miles. I got 18mpg-19-mpg at around 2000 miles. At around 3550 miles my MPG really went up a lot to about 21mpg combined ( 85%-city / 15%-highway ). I have gotten as high as 26mpg all highway with A/C blasting on a 400 mile trip averaging 70mph. I get 25mpg- all highway pretty routine now at 4500 miles. All of my driving is on flat roads.

That looks way too low, but then again there are people getting 28mpg so I guess there’s bound to be people on the other end of the spectrum. :giggle:

I see you’re in Canada. Did you convert l/100km to mpg correctly? British gallons and American gallons are different. Or are you just using the mpg calculation in the Jeep?

Or maybe he’s using l/100km which looks about right if that’s the case.

True, that’s 18+mpg which would be about right.

I have a new 2020 JLUR with the V-6 and at less than 2K miles I average about 16 when 80% of the driving is in town with lots of stop and go. Nothing to brag about, but I didn't buy it for mileage. (p.s. - I shut off ESS, and, I do tend to rev up to closer to 3K rpms before it shifts automatically)

Don't do that.

3.6 V6 (auto)/ everything is stock / I am a bit kind, it is my first Jeep and also bigger car, I am not sure it is normal or not but when I start from red light, or do left or right turn, even when I go uphill, I feel like I have to push gas more and I defiantly feel car is kinda hustling to get from first 0-50 km/h. From first day I am kinda worry about maybe It has some kinda fuel pump problem or something else. ( I am not sure if it is normal or not but when I park Uphill fuel sensor shows more fuel, when I do down hill it shows less fuel- I have never seen it before with my other cars) so I am bit concerned about of they missed something when they built it lol ( I already have a missing part on door sealing)

wow it sounds like what dealers told me can be right for my case as well, I kinda feel like mine also is getting better but not too much. Lets see. Thanks for sharing your experience!
