I’ve had my 2020 JLUR for a few days now, only 600km on it so far. I have done a mix of city, rural and highway driving, also did a local 4x4 track in it yesterday. Actual recorded consumption matches very closely with the trip computer so far(only done 2 fill ups).

7.6 km/L
13.1 L/100km
17.9 MPG (US)
21.5 MPG (UK)

I have a new JLUR and am getting 17L/100km as well. I live in Canberra Australia, have only travelled 1500km in it so far and have been manly doing short trips, so hopefully it will loosen up over time. Otherwise I am going to have to take a lot of fuel when I do the Simpson crossing !

Update to my last post. I’ve now had my Jeep for almost seven months and 11,000km. Here’s my average consumption:

8.5 km/L
11.8 L/100km
19.9 MPG (US)
23.9 MPG (UK)

These are all calculated and added to fuelly at each fill up.

Latest consumption. Bit of roadworks on the highway so only cruising at 80-90km/h.

I am getting 15L/100km with city driving, 2019 Rubicon with 3.6 auto. For 1st few thousand km I was getting around 18L/100km. Just under 4,000km now.

Highway 80-100km zone i get about 9L/100km while anything over 110km zone it will pop up to 12L/100km.
How are you going with this now? I just got my Rubicon JLU and have only 400kms on the clock averaging 17L/100km. Mix of highway and city. I did about 200km of highway driving and was sitting around 14L/100km and then added another 200km of city driving and it shot up to 17L/100km. I'm so light on the pedal (not a lead foot). No aircon use either. This seems so high to me compared to what I expected. Is this what you experienced too?

Are you in Australia?
Hey Will, Has your fuel economy improved? I just got my Rubicon JLU and have only 400kms on the clock averaging 17L/100km. Mix of highway and city. No aircon use either. This seems so high to me compared to what I expected. Has yours settled down now?

Just chiming in after finding this thread.

I was getting about 11 L / 100km in my Stock Rubicon (used with 40k kms).

Then I got a 2.5" lift kit and it went up to 12.5.

Then I put on 295/70R17 Yokahama X-AT and Icon Rebound Innerlock Rims and now I average about 14.7.

This is country road and freeway driving. Thankfully the Jeep has adaptive cruise control which makes it easy to stay in the slip stream of trucks, then it drops down to 10 or 11 L again.

Off road it really suffers though, getting about 16-18 L / 100km.

I'm not sure about using it for touring like this. That's a lot of stops for to the petrol station. I might get some H/T tires for the stock wheels and swap the wheels for the longer trips up North etc.
