I purchased my 2018 wrangler second hand back in May. When I got it home and washed it for the first time, I noticed some paint bubbing/blisters. The other day I mentioned it to a buddy who is a salesman for paint and body supplies. He told me that this is a known problem for many Jeep models and that I may be able to get Jeep to pay for some if not all of the paint repairs. I called a local dealer and they said that my warranty expired in Jan 2024. Does anyone know where or how I might get help with this issue?

Yes, its a big ongoing issue with the JL Wrangler. Tons of threads on here about it.
Some owners who are out of warranty have been able to get Jeep to cover a portion of the repair but, as you are not the original owner, chances are you are out of luck

I bought a 2019 JLU in May of 2024, third owner. It took some time and effort, but Jeep replaced and repainted all 4 doors at no cost to me.

My corrosion warranty expired in Jan 2024. However, Jeep offered an extra 12 months for the paint issue. Unfortunately for me, I didnt get my Jeep until May 2025. I went to the Jeep dealership in Jacksonville that has an on-site body shop, and they told me that I would have to pay out of pocket. FCA told me the same thing.

I'm pretty sure that's somewhere between $10 and $20k.

The Jeep dealership said it is about a $14k job. I kindly told her that she was crazy and I could paint the whole jeep twice for that cost.

Good luck. I noticed corrosion on 1 door hinge 13 days past my 5 years and at 52000 miles on my 2019. I was the original owner. I was in a loop between Jeep (doesn't) Cares and the dealer for 8 months before Jeep denied the claim. The dealer also tried a good will case and it was also denied. Because of 3 previous problems with it (new engine, new alternator, CANBUS failure) and Jeep not even offering to do anything for the corrosion I traded it. I hope my 2021 JLUR, which I've had since new, doesn't develop any of the problems I had with the 2019.

The dealership told me yesterday that Jeep added an extra 12 months onto the original 60 month corrosion warranty. My jeep just hit 50k miles the other day.

You need to outright replace the doors, hinges, and any affected metal. The corrosion is chemical, and will continue to return once it has begun.

Do you happen to know where I would get them. I definitely don't want to buy more with the same problem.
