For anyone thinking of buying a Jeep just want to let you know what to expect when you have a problem. We started having issues right before Christmas and they are telling us they will not start making the part until April 15th so they should see it sometime in May. To add to it the service department let our car sit in there lot for a month and when we asked if the paint problem had been fixed they told us they did not have a body shop that we would have to pick the vehicle up and take it to Belleville ourselves to have them look at it even though we had scheduled an appointment at the O'Fallon location and nobody ever said a word about not having a body shop there or called to say they had made a mistake. Below is the email sent to Jeep Care and they did not even have the decency to respond. It's a shame as we would have continued to buy Wranglers but after this intend to sell the Jeeps and move onto something else. (BTW when you get sent to Jeep Care because the dealer will not help you and they will not give you the regional reps contact info they are in India and all they do is give you standard responses to your complaints. It sounds like they are reading from a list...)

I called you right back yesterday and have not heard back. It is my understanding that this part is not even going to be made until April 15th. We are not in a position to do without a vehicle until then. That being said I need to know what Jeep is going to do about this. I feel that they should either provide a rental vehicle until the part is available or install a used part until the new one becomes available. This is the minimum that we can live with.
As of right now we own two Jeep Wranglers and my wife had one previous to this. I had been looking at Jeep Gladiators until this happened but after my bad experience with your dealer and your inability to provide parts I have put that search on hold. I have been getting the run around ever since this started and passed from one person to another, so I am going to make it very clear what I am going to do if this is not resolved to our satisfaction.
We are going to have a used part installed ourselves and trade the vehicle on something not manufactured by Chrysler\Dodge\Jeep\Ram.
We are not going to buy the Gladiator we have been looking at.
We are never going to buy a Chrysler\Dodge\Jeep\Ram again (and as I said this our 3rd Jeep Wrangler and we currently own one Ram 5500)
We are going to post our issue all over the internet so that everyone knows of the issue we are having and the terrible customer care we received at Auffenburg CDJR so that everyone that reads the forums knows what to expect.
I hope you take seriously the position we are in and get this rectified quickly. If we have not heard back from you in the next 72 hours, we will begin to procure the used part so that we can get our vehicle back on the road.
