Infotainment surface screen/filter has been "peeling/bubbling" for a while now. The screen doesn't look great but it's worked fine until now. Now the system has a mind of it's own and will randomly switch to different options.....from XM to phone to maps to audio options, etc, etc. I think the bubbling surface material/screen is actually touching the screen and changing the selection. Anyone else have this issue? I think a new infotainment system is ~$2k+. I may just try to remove the surface screen and see if that works (or it might completely destroy the system).

Thanks.

Yes. Search on these forums for delamination. Too bad you are out of warranty, because the issue is covered and you’d get a replacement radio. Your only option now is to purchase a replacement stock radio or go aftermarket.

Thx. Seems like I could remove the screen filter/protector that’s peeling off. Not sure. Need to do more research.

Are you referring to an add on screen protector or the screen itself? A screen protector can be removed. If you are talking about the screen itself, you cannot repair it.

You can replace the screen for about $20-30 but it is a royal pain in the ass. You can also replace the LCD which comes with new screen for around $300. Way easier. I tried the cheaper route but ended up with new LCD anyway. You don't need to replace the whole radio which is also a royal pain and way more expensive.
