Infotainment has gone schizo!

Hey all,

I’ve been having some minor issues with my 8.4Uconnect screen. It started with what looked like a reboot every 20 second or so while driving. That was a few months ago and it only lasted a couple of trips. Two weeks ago, the “set clock” screen kept popping up continuously. Again this only lasted for a couple of trips. Yesterday, it took a turn for the worse. The screen kept touching itself randomly, changing the radio station every half to 3 seconds. I wasn’t able to turn off the screen, or turn the system off. The issue lasted for two starts and my drive to work this morning was without incident.
Tips/tricks/advice?
I did contact my dealership yesterday, and am waiting on a call back.
I have a video, but the server won’t accept it. Thanks in advance

Pull the fuse, #97 I think. Take it out for 30 seconds or so and put it back.

Mine went wonky a month or so ago and wouldn’t shut off even when the Jeep was off. This worked for me.

EDIT:
I pulled the #97, confirmed it was the correct fuse, put it back in, started the vehicle. As soon as the Uconnect booted up, the ghost started pushing the 5th preset area on the screen over and over again.

Well, shoot. Hit the googles or maybe someone else will chime in.

I seem to remember people discconnecting the battery to get a full reset.

I’ll keep on it. I’m interested to hear back from the service department, though there is a lot of woeful stories in here about their abilities, I hope my guy is different.
After reading a lot of posts here about these radios, I’m seriously considering an aftermarket set up.

Issue resolved.
I’m mostly writing this just to inform anyone who stumbles on to this thread. The issue was a bubble in the screen, it’s a known issue in the 2018s, and my dealer was quick to get a new radio ordered.
