Quadfecta for sure. Silver lining is that your set up will be awesome. I haven't seen anyone else on here who has ordered a 2 door 2.0L. Definitely interested in seeing how that engine performs in the 2 door, especially since we won't get the diesel.
If I knew I was going to wait till May for my vehicle I would have also ordered the 2L. Only got the 3.6 because I didnt want to wait... Joke is on me

It does. Add waiting for the bright yella paint option becoming available and I may just die of old age

I feel your pain! Holding out for Hella Yella! I just pretend to passify myself thinking that will give them time to works the bugs out of Uconnect and passive entry and hope for a higher trim level for the Rubicon.:computerrage:

Has anybody successfully ordered both tops with their build? Looking to get a 2 door JL Rubicon. I was told yesterday by the dealer that I could, but I'm not too sure I believe him.
Don't think dual top is possible to order on a 2-door. Hoping to see how dealer handles today when I place my order (will be at minimum requesting they sell me the soft top at the price of dual top group on a JLU).

Yesterday Jeep (Thru online chat) Confirmed to me that the 2 DR will not start production till early to mid April. My dealer confirmed and I decided to switch my order to the 4 Door with a delivery estimate of 6 Weeks. Hopefully they have no delays on the 4 door.

Good luck, let me know how it goes if you don't mind. The top issue is what's holding me back from ordering.

I’ve private messaged Jeep Cares, chatted with Jeep Chat, spoke with customer service, mid March seems to be the consensus for the start of 2 door JL production. Spoke with the owner of my local Jeep dealer, he reached out to his Jeep insiders. The screen shot was his reply, ordered 12/13/17....Granite Crystal Rubicon/hard top/8speed/most options available...Thoughts?

Hmm, release of a new model year vehicle (2-door) in late June or early July is a helluva thing, indeed. In what month do Jeep Wranglers usually debut for the upcoming year? August? September?

I will most likely be switching to 4 door when I hear back from my dealer. Might need the other doors if I end up knocking up a girl :cwl: but mostly because they got my build but in a Sahara trim. More money but got them to increase the discount slightly if I do switch to compensate for the price difference.

If that's truly the case that it's now May.....I'm definitely going to bail. :(
To say I'm disappointed, is an understatement!

Ordered. No dual top for 2-door. There also isn’t a part number available for a JL 2-door soft top, so I couldn’t even work it into the deal at this point.

I'm in Canada. I have done the chat thing on the US site a couple of times to check on my order. Both of those times they gave me some vague information regarding my order. On both occasions I provided my VIN. Yesterday Cheryl informed me that my order was a Canadian vehicle and I needed to contact Canadian customer care. She provided me with a phone number. Before I could respond she had terminated the conversation. She hung up on me.
I called the number and talked to a person. I provided my VIN, name, address, etc. She asked me to re check the VIN the dealer gave to me. We did that 3 times. She said that VIN was for a vehicle in Connecticut to someone else. WTF?
I then called my dealer and he verified that VIN was for my vehicle and it was in D status.
So now i'm really wondering WTF is going on with my order.

My early 20’s into my mid-30’s I spent a lot of time in the watercooled VW scene. One of the BEST parts was the community. Sure you get an occasional idiot, but compared to your standard Honda forum the places people gathered were truly used to share information and keep the hobby going.

The VW car scene of the 90’s through about 2010 is dead. I’ve been kinda flailing since - had a 2010 Tacoma regular cab stick 4x4, but never found a forum I liked and just used it as a pickup. Then picked up a W211 Mercedes (on my list of to-own) and that’s been nice, but man is it boring.

I’ve always wanted a Jeep. Almost bought an XJ new in 2001. Have wanted a JK for quite a while, and starting to test drive them lead me here, where I started checking in for updates on the new one. I got sucked in. They made the interior actually nice, and coming from German cars driving a JK is a bit of a plastic experience.

Long story short - I’ve learned SO much about the JL here. Members and dealers here lead me to beat 5% under invoice, find out I can get $500 bonus drive, get two FCA affiliate codes by joining Tread Lightly, and more importantly I have been better informed in nearly all ways about the JL, features, ordering gotchas, etc than any of the five dealers that I’ve worked with. I’m very happy with my buying experience but I’m amazed that dealerships and sales people have the opportunity of a once a decade release and they’re not even up on what option combos you can pick.

So tell your dealer that the forums are better informed than he!
