This will likely vary from dealer to dealer and could depend on a variety of factors. Personally, I fully expect to get mine back.

If I had to guess, I'd say that as long as you end up purchasing another vehicle from them, you'll likely get your deposit back or at least applied as a down payment on the alternate purchase.

That's what my dealer said in an email on the case I switch this weekend. Refund applied on another Jeep I get

I am a 2 dr Rubicon, Ocean Blue, prem. soft top build, ordered 2/5, currently in 'D' status. I just spent time searching for press articles regarding problems with the JL builds - 10 pages into several different search results, I didn't see any 'press' reports of problems (did find forum threads). With so many JL and JLU's having build delays and problems, I kind of thought I might find a news article reference.

Would press reports add any urgency to FCA resolving issues?

Just curious (really confused ;)) if anyone has seen anything?

My wife and I were discussing this very thing yesterday at lunch. I know many others have said it, but I can't for the life of me figure out why Jeep won't or can't tell all of us straight-up what's going on. :lipssealed:

You would think the FCA public relations department could find a way to issue a statement while keeping a positive spin on whats going on :swear: ;).

Everyone is asking why FCA does not make an official announcement with an update on production. If they had good news they would release it. They don't want to go out of their way to tell us about delays and explain why they failed to start on the original production date that they promised to customers. If they were to explain the reasoning for delays, the customers would then demand a new updated schedule with a hard production date. Why would they want to provide another date? This would only give them another opportunity to fail to meet the expectations of their customers. Therefore they are choosing to leave us in the dark.

I guess I am a little behind the times ... but I am still surprized with the 2-door model falling so far behind the 4-door model in customer demand. Does anybody know the ratio ... like how many 4-doors for every 2-door?? I hope they don't do away with the 2-door model down the road.

New to Jeep!
One more data point showing the delay on 2 doors. We called on our order after seeing some of the comments on this forum and were told everything was fine. Then I got this follow up text. April seems to be the new start of production. For now anyway. I have to admit to being very frustrated. We special ordered Minis and BMWs with none of this drama...and consistent available information on the orders. It doesn’t seem that hard...we KNOW they have a system that is managing all these orders through production. Grrr...

Yesterday Jeep (Thru online chat) Confirmed to me that the 2 DR will not start production till early to mid April. My dealer confirmed and I decided to switch my order to the 4 Door with a delivery estimate of 6 Weeks. Hopefully they have no delays on the 4 door.
Heard the same thing from my dealer, except they specifically said Jeep will begin production April 1.
