Thanks for taking the time to record and post the install. :like: I love watching You and Jen's adventures and installs.

You need to buy some safety glasses! I was cringing the entire time watching you file that bolt over your head. lol Although, I have to admit to doing stuff like that myself.

You should add a link to the sale and maybe they will give you a kickback of a few pennies.

Already sold one on the plates.

Looks straight forward enough so it may only take me a few hours. I'll have to go find an anchor nut and maybe recessed bolts?

I know I must resist the temptation, but Harbor Freight is having a sale this weekend. I've had my eye on a 301pc Tool Set and a 20v 1/2" impact wrench kit that have been getting good reviews and will be like $40 off each. Seeing John's video reminded me that they would sure come in handy when doing my lift install. They will also have a 22" combo light bar for $79. I've seen some you tube reviews of it and it looks decent.

Lol i don't ask for sponsors. Really not my style, i buy it so if i don't like it i can talk a load of crap on it no worries lol we just used a bolt and nut we had in our kit. Nothing fancy, i just stuck my finger in the lil hole next to it and held in place till there was enough pressure on it to not need it.

Not a bad place to start out. But know that much of their stuff is sub par. If you use them often they will wear quicker, but for lil stuff like this and your lift, should be sufficient to handle it. I don't use any of their tools professionally.

The Harbor Freight tools really are cheap, which are fine for jobs you don't need to do often. I don't trust their electronics.

Still, I bought a jack back when they were on sale and it's been doing fine for the last 8 or so years. Not bad for $79.

I also love the moving blankets I got and keep in the trunk. lol

It includes a lifetime warranty, so I might take the chance. I can get a Craftsman set shipped for about the same price, but there are no longer any Sears near me if I should ever need to take advantage of the warranty. :(

I have been driving turn key stuff for last 20 years, (kids and such), my tools are so old and funky and all SAE.
I found a Grand auto socket set, lol.

Been grabbing new tools off of amazon, I may have to check out harbor freight. I seem to be good at procrastination regardless of tools, and seem to be finding ways today to not put on my new trailer hitch :/

Must, get motivated, must not drive jeep with top off instead... focus... damn it sun is out, no will power

Honestly i would buy tools as you need them, you will find much of what you need is not in sets. A good 1/2 drive and a few sockets and wrenches is a good start, your kit will expand as you do more projects. Pic for attention. Today working on our friends JK.

Its also worth it when buying a wrench set to make sure its not full of gaps, I found one that went from 8 to 22 no gaps, might need a few bigger, but least I have no surpises in my range and I know what I have.

A good 1/2 inch breaker bar to go with the 1/2 sockets is good for us old guys too

I like your hammock. A bug net is a must in my opinion, and it looks fairly light.
I love that hammock. It is lightweight; takes up hardly any room when I toss it in my ruck. Yeah, skeeters down here are horrible. The netting works really well. Keeps the tiny noseeums out too.

i tried something similar for a week or so, i didnt care for it and sent em off to CMD lol I like the roominess when the doors are off, then my fat has room to expand!
And thanks you for those! I like running no doors but the kids prefer having the tubes doors when on the highway, so they have been getting a lot of use.
