I was awake at 3am, before my alarm, and heard it pouring outside. Sooooo the alarm got reset! I slept in & was able to get stuff done at home while enjoying my first cup. :) I kinda wish I would’ve went to the gym, but it feels nice to have some little chores done & out of the way!
3am... Eeeek! :whew:
It’s like we live in different time zones!!! :time:

Sadly, this not where I’m at today. Not by a long shot...

Alex, do you ever get the chance to see the Ghostbusters' firestation (Hook and Ladder Company 8)? I've never been to NYC so I don't know where it would be in relation to your photos, but I've read it's at the intersection of North Moore Street and Varick Street. If you do, does it still look like it did in the first two movies? :)

Yeah I have mine in and also did the weather seal addition. The holes are above the rails and kinda have a shield covering them. I was making a joke but also had a serious tone if you run fast thru puddles on the trails and streets
Hey Billy!
Mine are the Mopar's and the only time water would actually splash up into the cab would be if the mats aren't seated far enough into the drain hole. I thought once my mats were secured with the two "buttons" all was well; well, not so fast!! I had water coming in UNDER the mat until I figured out that the mat itself wasn't all the way seated into the drain hole. When I broke that code they work fine. I've been stuck in water up to 29 inches (well above the door bottoms. You may remember my video where I was stuck for a few minutes in a river.) and she came out dry as a bone with no leakage either from the mats or through the doors.

I do remember that vid (well done) and yeah I have nothing but my paranoia to base this on. There is also a vid that shows the difference in the two Mopar mats versions as well as taking weather sealant (3m product) to help with the seal at the drain. For the record, I haven't gotten any water in and love my mat. I just always thought it would be kinda funny to hit a puddle/water hole on the trail and see it pop up.

Full disclosure, I haven't tried to take them out yet to vacuum.

Hi Kathy,
I have the Mopar all-Weather mats as well (ordered as part of my build i.e. instead of the carpet ones), and they seem to do the job! Only winter will tell... ;)
Like you I also removed the back seat, but nonetheless I actually like having the rear mats. I can throw muddy boots back there without getting the carpeted cargo area all dirty. :like:
Thanks Alex and Gary. I think I will bite the bullet and order the Mopar mats. The rear mats will be handy and I know I'll end up regretting it if I don't get them... Saw this recently - JEEP stands for Just Empty Every Pocket So true! lol

Hi TJ,
Hope you come visit NYC someday! Quite the destination for movie lovers... :)
Yesterday’s pics were taken in Time Square; the address you describe is in Tribeca, further downtown. Next time I walk down this block I’ll make sure to take a picture for you, but it may not be for a while (not terribly far from my office, but I almost never go that way!).

That's exactly where I keep my construction boots :like:

Has anyone seen the pledge of allegiance flag decals for the hardtop side windows yet? I keep seeing them for a JKU but not a JL.

I just ordered these mirrors. They are universal so the base is tapped, I can just get a bolt and run it up from the bottom instead of relying on their thread lengths.

I would recommend some plastic washers to sandwich the door hinge too. That's what mine have - really clever in my opinion, since the plastic washers are gentle on the body paint. Add a pair of steel washers after those and you get soft contact with firm backing. :like:

Another good one to know is the Physical Graffiti buildings on St. Marks...if you're a Zeppelin fan. St. Marks Place and First Ave in the East Village.

Good video! Yeah, I was wondering how this method would fare after pulling the mats out. His idea is good but I take mine out all the time to empty all the dirt, sand and other crud.
