The bolt is an 18 mm head, I dont know but would guess that would translate to about a 3/8th or 1/2 inch standard bolt. I think 19mm is equivalent to a 3/4 which would be 1/2inch if that makes sense

Help me understand what bolts do you have to remove , to install the ace sliders.

I just popped mine off while the roof was off. I will get some glue and reattach them next time it is off.

I think the key is to get rid of those 6 rubber spacers. They are poor quality and the glue will rip the surface off, then the covers are loose again.

Morning all.

I'm putting in a dash cam and taking the roof off. Might as well see to those drain covers and terrible rubber spacers. Maybe paint it black while I'm at it?

:coffee:

Does anyone know if the emergency brake on a Rubicon is chrome or plastic? I have a small scratch on it and would like to get some guidance on how to remove it
Thanks

This probably doesn't help much, but these days, a lot of the stuff that is "chrome" is also plastic...

Yes u are probably right I will have to show it to the dealer
I would not be surprised if this chome piece you are talking about is just a piece of chrome plated plastic covering an actual metal part that did the real work. I've seen that on some cars over the years.

Well i finally got around to finishing my tire carrier by putting on the relocation bracket for the camera mount , license plate, and third brake light. I'm not very happy with the setup . first you better have the tools to take it off if you need to change a flat , and you can't swing out your tire carrier without swinging out your back gate at the same time , or you'll rip off your camera and brake line wires. Really a poor thought out design. Think they didn't want to completely redesign their rear bumper or carrier from the jk model, so they came up with a bastardized version.

Take a magnet and attempt to stick it to the piece in question. The actual working part of the piece is probably steel, so it should attach to it. With a layer of plastic, it will have a weaker attachment.

Top down at 11pm in 66 degree clear skies. 65 highway miles.

Yup, heated seats and wheel work great! I even had the floorboard heat blasting to warm my son’s bare feet at on each point.

That moon last night... wow.
Ha! Almost makes me want to move to Alaska! But I’m not worried... this 95 degree weather, with 85% humidity, and about 1 inch of rain every afternoon around 4-5 won’t last forever!

Crazy hot in Colorado finally easing up. Still in the 80's but at least it's not frying the grass and helping the wildfires.

Was a perfect 54 degrees last night. Best sleep I've had in a while. I do love the Spring and Fall. :whew:

Actually, Gary, technically we are still in full summer, so don’t rub it in please! Lol
