Ok! After a rough start back in business :) As soon as I got home windows came off and black grill installed. Tomorrow I drop it off for protection film on hood and hinges, followed up with ceramic coating. Next week I should have my new sliders then it’s off for some off road fun!

Hi guys, I've been lurking here for months trying to find info on the 2 door JL's so it's nice to finally introduce myself! I've been thinking about getting a white 2 door sport and there's one on the way to a nearby dealer that checks most of my boxes. I have a few questions I hope you guys can help me with before I pull the trigger.

1) What are all of the promotions and things I need to be aware of? Isn't there something from the jeep wave program?I have an offer from the dealer but would be interested in what you guys think
2)One of the features missing here that I wanted was the limited slip diff. My main plans with this vehicle will include being on the beach in the sand to ride wave and in fields or light trails for camping/hunting. Will I miss the LSD in those situations?
3)I see a lot of rubicon take offs out there but I like the polished granite wheels, you think there will be many take offs of those out there down the road? Obviously things are sparse with the brand new model.

Thanks guys, hopefully I'll have some new pictures to add to this thread soon!

So I’m not ready to muddy my gal yet. She’s so pristine! 3 1/2 inches of rain, beaded so beautifully on her blue coat! So how do I preserve this for a bit? Protection film or ceramic coating? Why both? Which one keeps shone better?
On another note, I am amazed of the power my Rubi has! It’s so smooth and comfortable, I really didn’t expect that. One of you said I’ll like it more and more, and it’s true! What a sweet little Jeep!

I’m in Georgia, and I also got the cold weather group. For when I travel to the mountains and also for the winter here. Do you know we had 2 inches of snow in January here in Savannah! And the roads were icy for 4 days! Brrrr.... it was OOH so bad!!! Lol
I live in Canada and didn't get the cold weather group. What's wrong with you people? haha

Any rumors about Duel Top availability for 2-Doors?
I ordered a hardtop and had my dealer order a soft top separately directly from Quadratec and rolled it up into my monthly payments.

Film will help prevent rock chips, worked great on my Miata for sure. Now off road.... I am sure there is plenty that will go thru that film.

Ceramic coating offers minimal protection from chips and the like, but is great for keeping it shiny. Think of it like a wax that lasts 5-9 years. Most times I could just rinse at a car wash and it looked like I waxed it.

See my post above on Ceramic Coating. For sliders I went Ace as I can keep the current rails on with them. Grill is the Satin black Grill from MOPAR.

Icy roads for 4 days?? Try 5 months! lol I also live in Canada, but i'm from Winnipeg and we have frigid winters! Jan & Feb temps are regularly -30C (-22 F) and that's without the wind-chill! You bet your a** I got the cold weather pkg! lol I've always had heated seats in my VWs and wouldn't go through winter without them. My brother bought a JK last year and the heat this thing pumps out is amazing! I'll definitely be warm this winter - bring it on! And, I won't get stuck in the snow either!:handsinair::)

I took mine out to my parents Farm after a 2 day rain storm. It was the second day I got it I stopped at the end of the pavement and hesitated a moment lol then went for it it’s hard to do that:surprised:!

It's a bit different up north... The roads aren't so much "ice" as hard packed snow, often with sand, gravel, and other stuff embedded into it, basically forming a frozen concrete. You actually get more traction on that than the icy roads that we see periodically down South. We we get it, it's freezing rain that coats everything and freezes. It is VERY slippery. I've driven up north on the hard packed snow roads and it is completely different than what we have down South. Around here, it only happens every 20 years, but I used to live a couple hundred miles north of here and it would happen every 5-10 years.
