She loves it and loves the way it drives. Much more than my old Corvette or the Miata. This is both a good and bad thing. Got a feeling I dropped a bunch of money just to become a part time Kia Soul driver:cwl:
Similar “problem” for me, but one I easily solve by keeping the top down. (She doesn’t like driving with the top down because it messes up her hair. :cwl:)

As far as I'm concerned winter weather doesn't bother me. What would be nice if all the people who don't know how to drive, when it's slippery, simply stay home and off the roads. Then if they would come up with a salt substitute to stop vehicles from corroding.

My wife is going through her rebellious teenage years.... In her 40's... Like I get a txt saying "I know how much you love long hair, but I decided to do something different." different turned out to be a mohawk.

She is already referring to the spare key as her key.

Your showing you age again navyvet :), but me too i remember when some towns would mix gravel in with their salt to give better traction, but the practice was stopped awhile ago.
If that is the *only* way I'm showing my age, I guess I must be doing pretty good... :)

I had assumed that the gravel was more of a case of gravel that was just around from the road trash that you see all the time anyway plus whatever slipped through in the coarse sand mixture that they were probably throwing on the roads. Whatever the case, it seemed to work pretty good for them since it seemed to have a lot more traction than the roads down south that would just get sheets of ice during a freezing rain or ice storm event. Of course, back then and in that area, we didn't put anything on the roads, we just expected people to either deal with it or stay home. Some people wouldn't stay home and they didn't deal with it very well either. They would come up to a bridge that was iced over, panic, and slam on their brakes. And, at that point, they were just along for the ride as they spun across the bridge. It's actually pretty fun to watch as long as you don't have a car in the danger area. :)

Was just looking at Jeep.ca to see if price has gone up. Sport S increased $500! Destination fee increased $100 a few months ago. Glad I ordered early and saved myself $600! Woo hoo!

Good morning all!

Feels weird not checking trackers or emails from FCA anymore! I am sure I will get usd to it ;)

Dropping the Jeep off this morning for the detail work, will have it back Saturday or Sunday.

Aside from that initial problem with a vacuum pump, everything has been great! No steering issues like some have reported, though it certainly feels different. That I attribute to coming from sports cars for many years. My wife drove it and she can be sensitive to feeling safe in some vehicles. She loves it and loves the way it drives. Much more than my old Corvette or the Miata. This is both a good and bad thing. Got a feeling I dropped a bunch of money just to become a part time Kia Soul driver:cwl:
The thing with the tracking? Give it 2 more days and the urge will totally disappear!

you know whats funny for years me and my friends would take a ski trip to killington vermont super bowl weekend. I don't think they even tried to plow the roads on the mountain. Every year we would call the same cab guy, cause he had a van that fit all of us. All this guy had was a set of snow tires on the back and he never got stuck no matter how deep the snow.

Yupp I’m IBEW journey man lineman so I can pretty much go anywhere , and now further with my Rubicon lol, but ya I really like it here. Summer is pretty hot but
Nov-April is like 70 degrees and sunny every day. I have been mountain biking in a tank top in the morning here in Phoenix and then up in flagstaff snow boarding in the same day.
The Motorsport scene is pretty crazy out here!
