Our 2018 2-door JL's are truly the "unicorns" of the Jeep world. Folks just will not see many 2018 2-door JL's out on the road and trails. 2018 JLU's? Hell yes. 2019 2-door JL's? Most likely since there wasn't the big cluster f**k with their production.
2019s...We are out here too! In growing numbers, not growing wheelbases.

Oh how I remember the anticipation.
Waiting the next few days till I can pick her up, is somehow tougher than waiting months during the build.

So I picked up my Jeep last night from the shop. I haven't had a chance to slide under and look at it but they had a hard time with the install as well. There was fitment issues with the three sections. I reached out to RockHard and waiting for a reply.

For anyone looking for skids, I can not and will not recommend RockHard 4x4. Here are some pics of my skids and the issues I can easily see after the install. The washers as a spacer speaks for itself and the other pic has the bracket on the outside and the offset bend is wrong. All the upward press on that skid will be transferred to trying to shear the 3/8th bolt instead of the bracket (should be on inside according to instructions) and the plate.

I will have my local machine shop make a proper heavy walled spacer that will fit properly and I will remove the bracket, correct the bed and install it on the inside where it belongs

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Hope they get it sorted out for you.

I'm not happy with the offerings yet. I wanted skids because I didn't want to lift this Jeep. Too bad we can't have the aluminum goodness offered to the 4 doors. :asshat:

I really like them! Hopefully they are available soon.
Do they fit over the rubicon factory rails, or would I need to remove them? Or are the ACE rails the only ones so far where you can keep the original ones on?

Going over is silly, dead weight = bad.
