I bought a new 2019 Jeep Wrangler with the 2.0 turbo in May of 2020 and as soon as I drove it off the lot the check engine light came on. I did a U-turn and back to the dealership no problem and the light was off. Two weeks later the steering dampener went out and it went crazy up front. Then it started overheating in the middle of a trip. It began leaking coolant with 34K and has been parked ever since.
Parked ever since? Leaking coolant from where? The thermostat housings were known to leak, and that's a cheap and easy fix. Who buys a $40k+ vehicle and parks or over a few hundred dollars in repairs? I'd sell or at a minium.

It sounds like you could take it to the dealer. Still under warranty I’d think being under 60k miles.

I'd say the warranty was probably only 36 months, 36k miles? Unless there is a 60 month, 60k miles on the drivetrain?

The powertrain warranty is longer, sure. 60k iirc. I think you’re right on the years. If so, he’s got until May.

If it is 36K I am still good. The thing only has 34K and started acting up the day I drove it off the lot. It was a new car with I thing 12 miles on the OD and as soon as I got on the expressway heading home the check engine light came on. I should have smelled a rat, but I didn't because I was happy with the purchase and I just knew I had a Good vehicle. Thirty minutes later the light is off and I'm on my way home again. Next day, wife drives the car to work and its snow on the ground and the cooling fans are on and wide open as if the car was overheating. The check engine light was not on, and the temp range was in the normal position. I took the car back to the dealership and told them what was going on with the car and they told me it needed an update. I laughed, and told them I was an aircraft mechanic and I know better than that, WHATS WRONG WITH THE MOTOR? and he told me it's not a Mopar engine, and it is from China and it is worthless. My heart sank because I paid 44K for this POS?

I didn’t realize Kokomo, Indiana was part of China now. Older ones were made in Italy. Your dealer guy is an idiot.

A mechanic of what, Cessna 172s? ;)

As we're sure you're aware, the Powertrain Control Module is functionally a computer that controls a plurality of the vehicle's functioning. A software glitch can indeed affect the otherwise reliable operation of any number of hard parts, including radiator fan speeds.

While I empathize with your situation, having wrestled with similar through the years, hearing that the PCM might need an update wouldn't strike me as out of order, relative to it being at least part of the perceived repair process. Jeeps are as dependent on such technology as are all other modern, road-legal vehicles, so "update" is just part of the lexicon now.
