2018 JLUR (stock gears) averaging just under 18mpg on 91octane. 35in tires on aluminum wheels. Steel bumpers, winch, and a pro6 lightbar. I definitely feel like I should be getting better MPG, despite these factors.. Anyone have some insight?

Short trips- the motor never fully warms up so it's always running a bit rich.

Our mileage has dropped a bit to an average of 20.5 mpg.

18.4 mpg mixed, with 35's, 2.5 lift, and heavy bumpers/rails.

On highway only it squeaks above 20 @ constant 70-75 mph.

Bestop down costs ~2 mpg on anything over 50 mph.

A couple of weeks ago did roughly 350miles on a trip, vast majority through mountain - speeds 50-65. When I got home it marked 31mpg. Now it’s back to its usual 27/28’s of 60/40% city/highway mix.

I'm just shy of 4700 miles on mine, and even on road trips (on freeways, going 75-80s) the best I am getting is like 17 MPG. I find it pretty pathetic.

I haven't started make a stink about it yet, as it's my first car I've owned that doesn't need premium 93, so I figure the cost savings in the cheap gas balances out the extra gas usage.

Try setting the tire pressure to what is recommended on the door jam sticker. Also, disconnect the battery for 10-15 minutes or more and let the computer relearn your driving habits.

Finally, at highway speeds of 70+ mph the fuel economy really starts to suffer. It's a brick on wheels. Maybe experiment with cruising at 65 for tank, along with the other suggestions, and see how much of a difference it makes.

I'm averaging about 23 mpg with mixed 50/50 city and highway. I drive about 75 mph on the freeway and don't really have a lead foot in the Jeep. I'm happy with it.

25 minutes isn't much. Need to do that the entire tank for something significantly more accurate.

So I've been averaging 22-23 overall, 25 highway at around 70mph average. Better than I thought I would do, but I am wondering if it will get better as the miles increase. I've got 2500 on it now, and with most other vehicles I've owned, I've seen better mileage after 10k or so. Happy with where I"m at, but would love to see a bit more on the highway.

A plurality of my driving is on rural B roads, and a divided four lane A road. No jackrabbit starts when pulling away from a traffic light.

I touched 27.6 mpg during errands today, but no pic.
