  1. Convert US Jeep to EU-spec (road legal)

Hi all, I moved to Portugal a few months ago and my Jeep is finally on the way now. To legalize it here, Iā€™ll need to make a few conversions, and was wondering if anyone that might have gone through a similar experience with their Jeep could chime in? Rear Lighting (All my lightning is...
  2. Which powertrain would you get?

I hope that they continue to improve the batteries for these models already on the market, some brands have their own battery maintenance service, like Renault that charges you monthly fee (think itā€™s like 50eur/month) and theyā€™ll maintain the battery and replace as needed for no extra cost -...
  3. Which powertrain would you get?

"Jeep will not offer its 2.0-liter I4 turbo engine in the Gladiator, The Drive reports. A Fiat Chrysler spokesperson told The Drive that "the 3.6-liter [V6] engine can handle the temperatures seen while towing," intimating that the Wrangler's four-pot might not be able to tow and haul with the...
  4. Which powertrain would you get?

Yes! I find it ridiculous that the environmentally friendly solution is to get rid of our current fleet in favor of a new one. We should be looking for solutions to convert and upgrade our current vehicle fleet, at least during these transition years we have ahead of us.
  5. Which powertrain would you get?

With all due respect, I didn't dislike the 3.6 mated with the auto, I just found it rather limited and thirsty in comparison to the 2.0. That doesn't mean that I want my jeep to feel like a sports car, which btw it totally doesn't, but I also don't want it to feel somewhat sluggish and heavy...
  6. Which powertrain would you get?

I'm a 2door guy, so my engine choices are rather limited lol, but in this case I didn't consider it because the OP didn't put it on the list. Yeah the 3.6 is a good engine, but it doesn't quite cut it for me, and with the increasing gas prices and poor fuel economy even less so.
  7. Which powertrain would you get?

I would go for the 4xe - itā€™s 2021, plug-in hybrids are no longer cutting edge technology, and you also get the longer hybrid parts powertrain warranty for the extra peace of mind. My second choice would be the diesel, you get the fuel economy and the extra torque in comp to the V6. I canā€™t...
  8. Best Wrangler for Long Road Trips

Hi Maggie, I just came back from a 2000 mile trip on a 2018 JL Sport (crank windows and door locks). Itā€™s a two door with the 2.0T Etorque, auto, and a soft top. We had the AC on all the time, speeds of 80/85 and averaged 27.7mpg. It was a very comfortable ride, and yes itā€™s a wrangler and yes...
  9. Jeep Teases All-Electric Wrangler "Freedom" BEV āš”ļø

This specific concept seems to be based on a JK platformā€¦
  10. Two-door Model is Popular, but Jeep Ends It in Europe. Sign of Things to Come?

The 2.0 and 2.2 diesel were both discontinued from the lineup, and theyā€™re only selling the 4xe now. Wranglers are a rare sight in Europe, even more uncommon than Defenders were in the US, and the majority of them used to be 2 doors. A sport there costs more than a rubi here and gas is very...
  11. Import JL/JK Wrangler OR Gladiator to UK

I would double check about the 3.6 and the Euro6 emissions standards - even if it may meet in numbers, it doesn't necessarily mean it has been registered/tested for circulation in the EU and to do that it would cost more money. Similarly, the cost of gas in the UK and Europe makes running the...
  12. Question on Dual Top for noob

I live in RI and have a soft top all year round. Itā€™s always down in the summer and in the winter the only downside is when it rains/snows in the highway thereā€™s no wiper to clean the back window. If youā€™re caught in the rain driving topless you just need to pull the safari top, it helps...
  13. Has anybody ever regretted buying a Wrangler?

My 2 door is my only vehicle and daily driver. Itā€™s also my first wrangler and donā€™t regret the purchase at all. Sure itā€™s different on the highway, but you get used to it really fast. Donā€™t expect to drive it at 160km/h but it will be more than fine at 120/130km - it depends a lot on the...
  14. I CAN'T BELIEVE ITšŸ¤¬. Paint issues...

Thanks for letting us know Gary. Because of this thread I checked my doors and found out some bubbles in the same area! I also have some on one of the hinges, and since Iā€™m due for an oil change in March Iā€™ll take care of that too.
  15. All Electric Jeep Wrangler BEV Concept to be Revealed at Easter Jeep Safari!

I canā€˜t really speak for here in the US, as I usually just see charging stations at certain malls, but in Europe they became available in pretty much every public parking, malls, and main gas stations(for example highway gas stations generally have it). To incentivize people to buy EVā€™s, they...
  16. All Electric Jeep Wrangler BEV Concept to be Revealed at Easter Jeep Safari!

I really hope the 2-door wrangler doesnā€™t lose any further cargo space, I already struggle packing as it is now. In regards to the fiat 500, their main market is Europe, and they sell them a lot - now they only offer them in EV or mild-hybrid (same as etorque system in the JLā€™s but with smaller...
  17. All Electric Jeep Wrangler BEV Concept to be Revealed at Easter Jeep Safari!

Theyā€˜re presenting a concept and it makes a more poignant message by using the most iconic Jeep form. If it were to become a reality, which I hope it does soon, it will most likely come out as a 4door first.
  18. Overall Reliability?

I canā€˜t speak for the 3.6, but the etorque on my 2018 2.0 sport has been flawless so far (and the rest of vehicle attached to it), and I love the start/stop feature, barely notice it. Good luck with your purchase, too bad you have to sell that CJ, it looks awesome!
  19. All Electric Jeep Wrangler BEV Concept to be Revealed at Easter Jeep Safari!

Itā€™s a great a deal! And I heard that they also have this package that if you need to go on a bigger trip or somewhere remote, you can drop off your EV at the dealership and pick any other FCA combustion vehicle. I donā€™t know how it works in detail - but itā€™s this type of solutions we need while...
