Looking at some 4 doors Willys models at the moment. Thinking going auto and v6. I know there are many posts on the subject but should I also add the 2.0L in my search? As I used to own a 2013 JK Sahara with manual v6 (very hard to find at the moment and the missus prefers auto), I am mostly thinking going with the Pentastar engine.

Anyway, would you wait for a 2026 model or try to deal those available in the dealership's lots at the moment?

At my Canadian friends out there, is it me or the prices have are bit higher than a few months ago. With the new year model coming I would have thought that prices would be better at this time of the year.

Any tips to get the best price are welcomed. Thanks in advance

Please don't start another engine thread. We can't tell you which one you'll like the best and there's not a winner between them. Just drive both and pick the one you like the best.

Also I don't think you're going to see any price reductions on the 2025's until the 2026's are actually on the lots.

Ehh I bought my 2025 JLUR for $11k off in the Spring. Not sure if the market is the same, but there were huge discounts then.

And yes, no more engine threads!!! The deadest of dead horses.

Ok yes, I should have been more specific. You won't see any ADDITIONAL discounts on 2025's until the 2026's are on the lots.

I’m in a somewhat similar situation… I don’t mind waiting to order a ‘26 392 (whenever their order guides are available) but I have been shopping for ‘25s at the moment. Some dealers are treating their ‘24s like gold and will barely discount any of them despite them almost being two years old at EOY…

I was in the same situation you are in. I stopped by a dealership on Labor Day and the exact 2025 Rubicon X I was looking for just arrived. Managed to get about $15K off the sticker so I bought it. Don't think I could have gotten that deal on a 2026.

Ok I promise I won't talk engine.:CWL: And I have found a Willys locally with the basic options I want. I'll try to find some time to go check it out.

I did similar as @HeBoughtaJeep?
A few days prior to Labor Day 2025s had really good deals and most were better than used prices for a 2024. I got 13k off mine, could have been 15k but I did not finance with them, nor did I have a trade. Keep a look out toward the end of the months going into December.

Right now it is a good time to buy. I bought my '25 willys XR on '41 color for about 17% off MSRP. Dealer offered 15% off without any negotiation. I negotiated a bit and got some extra. It was exactly the Jeep I was looking for, so I bought it. I was at the dealer for 1 hour at most. They didn't even push dealer add-ons or extended warranty. They offered the warranty and I said no, and they were like ok whatever. They even flat out told me they're not selling anything. And this is was in Glendale, California (Los Angeles). They seemed happier than me to see me drive off with the Jeep lol.

It is hard to predict what will happen with 2026. Inflation is rising again in the U.S. which might increase prices. BUT there are some early signs of recession, but it is too early to tell. If people don't buy, dealers will be forced to discount more.

Discounts will either decrease a little bit or increase some. It wont make a significant difference to wait for 2026 in my opinion. If you find what you like, try to get 15%-20% off MSRP and enjoy it.

The 2026 models are going to be the same as 2025 they will come with the same issues. Heck there are issues from 2018 that Jeep never fixed lol.

I was in a similar predicament and although my hand was somewhat forced, chose to go with 2025. There's some good deals out there on 2025s (my experience was the more it's optioned out, the better the discount) - but I would say unless you find the spec on your want, wait and order the exact spec. There's a whole list of dealers on here that offer 6%+ below invoice (plus any rebates at time of delivery), so there's not reason to compromise unless saving/discounting every single dollar is the objective.
