so many asking if 35's will fit , I responded without carefully reading your question ...so sorry about that !!!

My 3rd jeep in 21 years

I dont see why you could put a 35" on a stock 17x9 or 18x9

again sorry about that ...getn old !!

35s and 37s work on the sport S as well, I have had both. 35s had -18 offset and 4.75 backspace on 20x9. Now I have 37s with 0 offset with 4.5 backspace on 17x8.5. Both set of tires were 12.5 wide. Neither set rubbed with stock suspension. If we’re talking off-roading then of course everything changes.

Only change I had to make was a lift on the tire carrier for the 37, the 35 fit on stock tire carrier.

As far as stock wheels with 35s, it may have a problem, I believe stock wheels have a 3.5 backspace, a 35x12.5 inch wide tire may rub some mechanical components

The gap between your tires and fenders seems dramatically higher up front. Is that from the heavier tire/wheel on the tire carrier or is there something else going on there?

37s, 8.5 wheel width, 12.5 tire width , 0 offset, 4.5 back space. Sport S stock suspension. In my opinion I’d prefer them to stick out slightly more. 466659E9-1A75-470F-A1F1-1DB1BE266D00.jpeg 4D8F95A8-0093-41CB-BC2E-15CEC1394FAC.jpeg 373AE8F9-3453-4616-BB3C-3891B6C18555.jpeg
Those are the Method Roost, correct? How did they fit over the stalk of the backup camera? Any issues?

35s fit on stock rubicon wheels without any rubbing. At least my 315/7017s do. I suspect max flex will rub without a lift. Also, stock wheels have a 6 1/8” backspacing.

35's have been proven to rub at flex by several people. (with the sway bar disconnected)

For those who said that setup rubbed, was it a backspacing problem or a simple lack of height in the wheel well? It hasn't sounded like there is a backspacing problem with 35s, stock rubi wheels even though they are over 6" of backspace.

I have heard it from both people with 35's on stock wheels, and at least one individual with 4.5" backspaced 17x9 wheels. So it's an issue either way.
