JL Window Sticker and Build Sheet Order Tracking

I got a call yesterday afternoon from the dealership and said the vehicle should be in by July 10th. They also asked me to come down and do all the financing and paperwork tomorrow, so come delivery day, I just have to swing down and pick it up. They'll also be taking in my trade and giving me a loaner for the next 2 weeks. Part of me wonders if they're doing things this way because it's the end of the month and they want this sale to count...and they can probably flip my trade-in over the July 4th weekend?

Has anybody else done it this way? It feels really weird signing on a new car, sight-unseen. He did say if there were any problems with it when it comes off the truck, I can still refuse it...but still.

Well, whatever the reason, I wish they had done that for me. Evidently the "finance guy" is out every Wednesday. So even though I cleared my schedule and jumped through hoops to free up my afternoon/evening, I have to wait until tomorrow now. So frustrating!

That's awesome. My grandad's C1 Willy's Jeep is still in our family. He's had it 40+ years. Mine's a 60th AE.

FYI, the Willys looks like a CJ-2a or later Jeep; supposedly none of the CJ-1s and very few CJ-2s exist...if you can document that it is a CJ-1, you really have something special...but even if it is a CJ-2a, CJ-3a or M38 (quick glance, they all look pretty similar), you have a great little Jeep!

And just to get back on thread...I recently tracked the build and took delivery of my new Punk’n JLS, which joins my 1944 MB in “the fleet”.

Dealer just called! He said my Moab was delivered today!!! they are going to clean it up and will take delivery on Friday!! the wait is over Ordered 5/21. Delivered 6/26.

Northwest Dodge (290/1960) - it's about 1.5 miles from my house. Experience so far has been good.

I learned how to drive on a manual and we (my husband) taught both of our kids to drive a manual. Both of their first vehicles were manuals. Teach them to drive a manual and they can anything. Our daughter learned how to parallel park a Ford F-250. Now people are impressed she actually knows how to parallel park and backup without issues.

I was fortunate enough to learn to drive a manual on one of the most sought after performance vehicles of all time .... a pea green 1978 Volkswagen Bus Westfalia camper.

I ordered mine 6/19 so I hope to be driving it by the end of July.
Perhaps the fast turn around is a good sign.

Talked to the Salesman this morning, he went in and got everything ready for me to take her home today! I am so in love with this Jeep! The white Jeep in the background is the one I traded in.
