Finally, there is an advantage to losing my hair! "Jeep scalp don't care!"
We had a similar experience. Last week it finally was sunny and dry an in the low 60's so I took off the freedom top and front doors. My wife and I and 10 yr old daughter were about freezing to death by the time we got to our destination 20 mins later. But it didn't bother the teenagers (what does other than school, chores and other teenagers?). This week it hit 70. OK temp wise to drive in topless, getting a little warm when sitting still for long periods in traffic. I too was surprised at some of the cross winds even when driving 45 mph but like someone said, I'm hoping it lightens up a bit when I get the rest of the top and rear doors off this weekend. When it is cold or very windy, I just try to drive slower and take route with lesser speed limits.
When I picked up the high schooler yesterday, he said, "Doesn't matter how bad a day it was. Being picked up in the Jeep makes it all better!" :)
Your High Schooler gets it :)
My wife loves her Alien Shade, it really cuts the sun down and allows light and air to flow. You install it and forget it, you don't have to keep taking it off.

Maybe all the stuff off was more for off road. Seen a guy yesterday with his left leg hanging down outside the jeep. First thing that came to mind was, what if someone ran a red light and tee-boned him. Probably have a hard time finding his leg.

Do you have the same thought every time you see someone on a motorcycle?

On the bright-side he'd have a cool name for his Jeep...
I-Lean
Stumpy
Pogo

If I ever lost my arm I will be naming my Jeep "One Arm Bandit"

It's for whatever or wherever you want. If winds and noise bother you, then button it up and have fun your way. I equate it to riding wave runners or boating. You're out in the elements with whatever mother nature throws your way, not encapsulated. On the road, expect to get blown around. On the water, expect to get wet

My first wife fell in love with me......or my Jeep. We would drive it as often as we could topless / doorless.
We loved every minute in it. Sadly we divorced twenty years ago.......BUT.... she still comes back to stay with me several times a year for a few days at a time....and guess what she loves to do...? (In the daytime). YES she wants to go out in the Jeep without top or doors. Even though it didn’t work out....we both still love the open air experience we get from the Jeep. You just can’t get that experience in any other vehicle.
Amazing, the magic of the Jeep that can bring people together......even after divorce.

I saw my ex about 6-7 years after we split. I didn't recognize her at all! My current wife and our two daughters were waiting for a table at a steak house when she asked me why "Wide-nona" was staring at us. I looked up, then saw the ex and some of her family come in ( I was polite) and just smiled. I told my wife that the baby blimp was my ex, she got a case of the giggles and we couldn't quit ! The kids were like - what's so funny?
