Get these...you will love. Key never pops open(rubber sits just slightly higher than button in that area). Here's another way to keep the fob key from opening in your pocket. I opened up my fob, removed and reinstalled the spring to reduce the tension on the key blade. It's been several weeks and with the reduced key tension, the key never opens in my pocket.
Here's the inside of the fob with the cover removed. You need to remove the four torx (T6) screws.
Here's all the pieces of the disassembled fob.
Here's the key and spring in place ready to reassemble.
Detail of tab on spring and matching slot on case. The spring tab goes in slot on case. To reassemble with normal spring tension, you would need to rotate cover to wind the spring tighter before screwing the case back together.
Here's how far the key opens with the detensioned spring. The spring is not strong enough to open the key all the way.
Nah...makes an already large key fob much larger.@Hardwyrd
The Fob Holsters that you picture are from Gibson Leatherworks. I would buy directly from them!

You'll like these trust me...hardly adds any size and keeps key from popping openI was thinking about putting a little silicone on the side to keep the key in place. Something I could easily dig out if I actually needed the key for something. No way I'm putting a cover on this thing making it bigger than it already is.
Daaaah .... I think you are missing the point of having a fob holster.Nah...makes an already large key fob much larger.
Caution...genius with a keyboard.Daaaah .... I think you are missing the point of having a fob holster.
Regardless of fob size, the fob in a holster can be attached to a belt loop or clipped to the belt.
No more fob in the pocket.
For guys/gals that have proximity, you attach the fob to your belt and geeeez, you pretty much forget it is there.
I have/use a belt clip holster.
I did not buy and start using the holster cause the fob was too big but rather, just for the reason I mentioned.
I want to hang it and forget it. Don't want a fob, in my pocket, period.
.
Thank goodness car thieves don't know the 'hide a key in ths vehicle because I don't want to carry it around' ploy.if you wrap a fob in tin foil, will it defeat it? I have a 2018 jeep and i want to hide a key, but i am afraid of the push button start. i am thinking i will hide the fob in the jeep wrapped in foil, and unwrap it if i need it.
