So I got this installed this weekend. Liking it over all for what I need it for. My only concerns are the rattle noise and the powder coat finish, they did reply to me looking into the PC.

You could consider the Bestop sunrider or whatever it's called. Then you don't have to worry about the panels.....!
Yeah, I considered those types of products. I wanted to keep my panels with me though in case I get cold or it gets too windy, not just for sun protection. I can put the panels on and roll up my windows and it will be like a pickup with the slider open. You still get air, without getting blasted by it. Thanks for the suggestion though.

On a related note. I decided to go the custom enclosure route. It's still rough, but I want to make any adjustments before finishing it. To do that, I need to drive around with it a bit to see if there are any changes I want to make. One that I've come up with so far is that I'm changing the front wall so it hinges down rather than sliding out.
Currently I have the front wall in a track. The top panels lock in over it, so it can't be slid out when the top is on. I think I'm going to take the front of the track off, and devise some sort of hinge. that way I can fold it on top of the seats rather than having to take it out. This seems a bit quicker to use than the track (although it is pretty secure that way). Although the track method allows me to remove it and only lower 1 seat at a time instead of having to fold both down. Hmmm, I may have to split it like the seat and do dual hinged front panels.
The top is 2 pieces so I can remove the front or rear half for taller objects. They are latched in place with some nice simple toggle latches. Very quick and easy to lock/unlock the top panels. The rear panel is contoured to follow the curve of the tailgate, fitting into the recess, so no gap at the back. I'll likely add some angle stock to the bottom to add rigidity so I can put more weight on them.
The side panels are held in place by brackets that are similar to how Tuffy did it. I made mine to fit under the bolt so they can be used with the TrailRail or d-rings. Otherwise it's the same idea. I've got the sides set slightly above the top to create a lip around the "shelf" so nothing falls off if I set anything up there. Plus it will give me a good place to attach some D-rings if I decide to add them.

Anyway, I made it so the front panel angles with the seat, rather than dropping straight down like the Tuffy enclosure. This gives me full use of the cargo area, so my panels still fit. Yea!!
Here's a few photos of how it looks so far. I'm either going to upholster it with carpet, marine vinyl, or coat it with bedliner. I haven't decided yet, but I want to test it and make any adjustments first before finishing it. I guess that gives me some time to decide how I want it finished. So far I've got about $40 into it. A far cry from the commercially available enclosures. Depending on how well this works out, I may make a PVC version so I don't have to worry about distortion or water damage. That costs a bit more, so plywood works well for R&D.

Holy crap!!! I've never seen those, that's pretty cool. I guess the money I saved on an enclosure can be used to pay for that.

I'll keep searching, but any idea how easy/hard it is to remove the hardtop with that installed?

I thought you may not have been familiar with that top by the way you answered!

I don't have one so I can't comment on any features of it. I chose to buy a factory soft top recently for spring through fall weather. I'll be so much happier this year with the soft top!

6 more torx bolts than with the freedom panels. So maybe an additional 3 minutes on the change.

I was debating the same issue prior to buying, but I’m so glad I did now. I’ve already used the Sunrider multiple times and it would have been months before I pulled off freedom panels.

Thanks Derrick. So you just unbolt the back edge, tilt it forward and then take the hardtop off? Any photos of yours with the sunrider on and hardtop off?

I don't have any pictures at this time.

You would need to remove the bolts from the rear clamp, remove the rear bolt from each side panel, loosen the front on each side ,then tilt forward to allow room to access the hardtop's front bolts.

The slight inconvenience this adds to full top removal is drastically outweighed by the ease of use of the sunrider.

What's the interior dimension of the Tuffy Deck? I'm currently shopping for boxes that'll fit inside the deck, trying to see what's the largest box I can pack in there.

...... But very nice so far on the enclosure. Looking forward to seeing the finished product!
It's done... for now. Not a "finished product" but a finished prototype with carpet, and paint. I'm going to run the prototype for the summer, and make a final version after that. So as to no completely derail this thread, here's a link to the current version - Custom enclosure link

Are you able to lock your soft top back (folded down) with the Tuffy box installed?

I could not lock mine, it sits up just high enough to no me able. Ended up getting the TUFFY tailgate option and like a lot more.

Yes. The top locks when folded back. When I first installed the soft top, it was a bear to unlock the first time, but no problems since. With all of the emergency equipment I carry, just the tailgate box was not an option.
