I think it's a combination of not enough omitted heat and the deep dish headlight bezel. Most cars(that have led's) have flush mounted lights.

Also, a lot of people haven't had snow yet.

Was fluffy snow nothing major, 31° out.

If happens to a few will happen to everyone else, do we not all drive the same design with the same parts?
Well I really like the performance of my leds the rest of the year and I like the look of the recessed headlights.
If it becomes an issue in the winter, then off goes my led light bar an on comes a pair of Hellas 5000 and I will not only melt the snow on them but the ice in the road in front of me. Lol.
People here cannot wait to change bumpers and suspension but one glitch and the OEM sucks. Come on.

Your led light bar should be fine, I have 5 rigid led aux lights that emit tons of heat...its just the OEM heads and dogs no heat at all. I love em actually but in snowfall they have this flaw.

I had to scrape frost off mine once last year. The frost was so thick that the lights wouldn't even shine on the road.

One thing you can do is if you know a snow/ice storm is coming, you can clean the lenses real good and then wipe them with a layer of WD-40. That will help prevent snow/ice from sticking to them to begin with.
What material is the lens? WD-40 is petroleum based which can turn some plastics or UV coatings yellow. Plexus is made for plastics. Great product.

I think the deep bezel of the lights is 60% of the issue. Although trying this wont hurt I suppose

All the suggestions are all fine and dandy, however, not one design engineer thought of putting heated bezels for the headlights and fog lights. Needed way more than the heated mirrors.

@JeepCares is this something that can be fowarded to design? Maybe heated bezels can be made to replace the current bezels.

^ This. Don’t put WD-40 on your Jeep.

I was thinking RainX, but now I’m gonna check out Plexus. Thanks!

Plexus Plastic Cleaner, Protectant and Polish (13-Ounce) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00092CKN4/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_.oT7BbD67MZVP

Product Description
Plexus seals the pores in plastic surfaces with a micro-thin layer of shiny, protective wax, making it resistant to debris, oil, scratches, and eventual yellowing. Developed for use in the aviation industry - specifically, for cleaning and protecting aircraft windshields and painted surfaces, people quickly discovered it could be used on a limitless variety of plastic surfaces. Use it on your vinyl windows, hatch covers, mirrors, laminated surfaces, eyewear, computer screens... just about any place you would normally use plastic cleaner. Its convenient aerosol applicator prevents dripping, leaking, evaporating, and coagulating at the tip of the nozzle (as is common with pumps and squeeze bottles). Plexus makes colored plastics vibrant, makes clear plastic virtually transparent, and leaves plastic paints gleaming like new. This item is not for sale in Catalina Island.

I have friends who fly stunt planes and they use Plexus all the time on the canopies of their planes. I used it on the clear plastic roof panels and lights on Corvettes, on Clear Bras, anything plastic. It's kind of hard to find. Avaition and motorcycle shops have it. Or mail order.

Thank you. I edited my reply with a link to Amazon. Not cheap, but I’ll have it in my hands by Monday!

Plexus appears to be available on Amazon. I just ordered some to see if it helps.

Here's a novel concept: Brush the snow off your lights, front and rear, before heading out. Sheesh!
Cause everyone wants to stop and clean off their headlights every 15 minutes when on a two hour trek when it minus 30 and snow.
