Looking at doing a 2" Mopar lift on my JL Rubicon w/37's. This is my everyday vehicle to need to have good performance on highways as well as some off road trips.

Gettings mixed advice regarding the need to go with an adjustable trackbar. Have a quote of $300 for an Steer Smarts JL trackbar... anyone have any advice with this setup? Worth the $ or needed?

thx

I replaced both front and rear trackbars after my Mopar lift. Worth it, and needed, IME.

I now have a steering stabilizer on the way.
Which track bars did you install?
Given the Mopar kit has netted most people 3" I am surprised more people have not installed new track bars. Seems like it only makes sense to do so.

Had a couple people recommend replacing the front but the back wasn't needed.

I would definitely do it. I put a RC front bar on mine and will do the rear when it comes out. Wanted stock style bushings on it, which is why I chose RC.

I have the Mopar lift with Rock Krawler correctional pads on the front. I am about to install the Rock Krawler front and rear track bars. Also putting on the fox 2.0 steering stabilizer. Running 37" KO2 tires. I would recommend if it is your daily driver and still want to hit trails on the weekend.

Please write a review of the Fox steering stabilizer when installed, I’m looking into it as well.

Look into the Metal Cloak track bars too. They have awesome bushings. I didn't get to that point yet with my Mopar lift, but it would be absolutely helpful centering the axles.

I would definitely recommend an adjustable track bar. Steer Smarts makes *excellent* products, but another and less expensive solid option would be the Rock Krawler track bars.

Another option for the rear is to run the RK relocation bracket with the factory track bar.

Don't forget to use your JLWF coupon for some additional savings as well and I'm always happy to answer questions if you have them.

Will do! It is supposed to ship Sept 14th. So real soon hopefully. I been lied to on ship dates before though. Haha. Still waiting on my PSC bumper from July. Pre-order was June, ship was supposed to be in July. Only a couple months late!

I put the MetalCloak front and rear on mine after doing the Mopar 2" lift. Definitely helped to get the wheels back in line. Install was pretty simple, but as they state in their instructions for the front install, it did require some minor grinding of the window pocket to make room for the housing.

Can you expand on this? The Mopar lift is giving more than 2"? How, and why?

I thought my JLU is a little high at just over 24 hours since Mopar 2" lift installation

2" is an estimation, and a poor one at that. The effects of coil and shock replacement depend significantly on vehicle weight and the difference between stock suspension and the new. Unlike spacer lift kits where 2 inches of metal is added and that is all, suspension lifts simply add taller, heavier duty shocks and springs. Load your jeep down with steel bumpers, a winch, a loaded roof rack, full family, etc, and you'll get closer to your 2 inches.

I have a 2" spacer lift so it's exactly 2". Jeep is telling me I have to get the "thrust angle" lowered for the rear before they'll diagnose my steering issue anymore. For 100 bucks, I'd rather add the bracket than remove the lift if it will work. These brackets never say they are for a specific lift height. What will this do for me with a 2" lift? My thrust angle is currently .23

Yeah, I know it shouldn't matter but this is what they are telling me to keep on looking at my steering issues which I had before I put the lift on. yeah, I also know I shouldn't have put the lift on while having steering issues. I'm an idiot.

I got Metalcloak front and rear, they make great stuff.

However, I have pretty crummy ride on 37s with the Mopar lift, really just on crummy roads though. Little vibration / wobble at higher speeds that goes away over 60. Its not wheels/tires. After a LOT of research some people are suggesting Adjustable lower control arms and extending the arm even further than the Mopar LCAs you get. I ordered a set of those from @Metalcloak as well. Hopefully this fixes my issue!
