Decided to go with gray accents on matte black for the Rubicon decal, fender vent decal and hood blackout. Placed order on https://4x4wavers.com/

Not sure how it's going to look. Took a chance on it without obsessing too much over the decision.
Meanwhile I need to plastidip the Jeep emblem to complete the red-delete on the outside.

I've known about them for a while (I had a 3.6 Sahara before the 4xe) for the amount of weight added and the complexity+ cost they are not great on the actual usage value and utility.

A simple Jackery 500 or equivalent would pack a lot more usable kwh for the size and weight of LiFePO battery packs. If you are going all in on DC to AC inverter systems, it's better to do that in the rear cargo cubby area with lithium batteries and redarc.

I tie down my Eco River 750 (0.75kwh) portable on top of the rear cargo rack shelf using straps. It's good enough for the fridge, heated sleeping blanket and heated sleeping bag.
How long will your Eco River run the fridge? What's the charging setup for it? Looking forward to the new build!

I use a Jackery 250 for the Fridge as I mostly camp overnight or daycamp.. rest of the time I am probably driving or wheeling which means I am charging the batteries. The Jackery 250 can get my 12v 40amp 37qt Fridge through overnight camps with about 5-12% to spare based on the temperature outside. On peak hot summer day, I'd get only about 6 hours max before I swap my Eco River 750 to continue powering it.

I use the Eco River for Fall-Winter-Spring camping where I need it for the heated blanket to get comfortable sleep overnight.

I charge the Jackery 250 using the AC port in front of the second row seats, and the Eco River gets charged through the 12v cigarette lighter port in the trunk area. I have found the 12v DC to charge it much better than the AC port - not sure why, something to do with amp specs maybe.

------
Sad note: I needed none of this on the 4xe. The power box and 14kwh battery could handle running a mini 500W electric heater with thermostat cut-off all night :(

Looking sharp. Can't wait to blackout the decals and emblems over the winter.

I also ordered Lamin-X tint film set on Black Friday sale. Headlight, fender DRL & side marker, and the rear tail lights will be covered in tinted film.

With stock 4.88 gears and on lighter and a bit shorter 37s in KO2 the on-rod driving characteristics are very different from what I remember from my prev jeep on 35s and 4.56 with pentastar.

With 4xe's torque i ran stock 4.10s all along with 37s and it wasn't much a problem. I see that its running slightly higher rpms on average..

Comparing XR spec (34.4 tires and 4.56 factory gears) on 3.6 AT, a smaller 37 like KO2 probably is closer to the spec for a 4.56/4.63 gearing and I might actually get to stock XR like performance if I run true height 37s like Baja Boss etc?

Is the 4.56 in XR a lot more performant than 33s on 4.10 in 3.6 AT Rubicons? I dont have a ref point as I had a Sahara stock and 4xe Rubicon on stock gears. I have never driven a 33" stock Rubicon 3.6 for comparison... time to take a test drive in a nearby dealership.

I can see how it looks quite different from what you expected, but I think it looks pretty good FWIW!

yeah its much more lighter gray than I thought it would be. It's not that bad in natural light :D
I guess, i need to lean in to the pseudo-392 look

I still need to get the hood blackout decal and fender vent decal on

So what's with the wheels? Defiant doesn't make DF03's in 17x9" yet there yours are. In fact they don't seem to make any 17x9, strange since its now the most popular 5x127 bolt pattern wheel.

I'm running a pre release version. DF03 5 lugs are coming out this year. These are sooooo light compared to the DF01s I ran before this.

I also love that they made this in 17x9 -12 and hub centric. Not sure if they will carry on that spec in production version.. Hopefully they do

Damn, I need to buy a set of wheels rigth now for my suspension upgrade happening in the next week. Was so focused on getting the lightest 17x9-12 I can find (Reika R40's or Brink Barracks at ~26lbs), but those DF03's look amazing.

Went in for re-torque appointment and had some fixes done to the lean i had.

Steering stabilizer relocation
Lean Fix
Fender to tire gap after fixes - with exactly half tank of gas

Front-Passenger: 8-1/4"
Front-Driver: 8-3/4"
Rear-Passenger: 8"
Rear-Driver: 8"

The front difference is sort of 0.5 inches - should be fine once my fat ass is in the driver seat and should be level at that point. The AEV front shim is about 0.375" thick, and I have only added a 0.25" shim. I might add a metalcloak 1/8" shim later on if needed. The jeep looks level and the lean is not noticeable now. If i measure from axle shaft to top of the spring perch the difference is even less - about 1/8" - may be the passenger fender sags as I lean on it a lot working on wiring near battery.
-------------

Alignment specs looks slightly better. I still think a bit more caster might help? perhaps adding the mopar lift LCAs (1/4" longer) might just be the right change. It did track straight after the lean is fixed.. there was zero pull to right side.
