So I have had a problem with my Uconnect 8.4 where it stopped working.

It started as intermittent black screens, with also the HVAC acting up.
After a while the Uconnect died completely, but the HVAC panel is back to working 100%.
At the same time the USBs has stopped working. (But these might be powered by the radio itself, if I understand correctly.)

I have done some troubleshooting and found that in the 52-pin connector at the radio, the unit is a getting a very stable power of 12.8V before starting the engine and close to 13.8V after starting the engine.

This discovery led me to install another device, since I thought the Uconnect was broken. However the new radio also doesn't boot. Meaning there is a deeper problem.

After reading through some wiring diagrams, I think this might be linked to the CAN IHS, as the radio needs a signal from there to boot..

Have anyone had a similar problem, and figured it out?

What do you mean by "this discovery" ? That the voltage increases when you start the vehicle? That's how all vehicles work when the alternator does it's job.

I am well aware. The discovery was that the headunit was getting power. Led me to believe that the uconnect was completely dead.
