I have someone who can sell me there only 8.4 in radio for about $700 and replace my 5in radio. Would this be possible since it is not a new radio? Would I have any problems. My current setup does have satellite radio.

Easy swap. Make sure you get the security code from the seller

So even though it is used and has been installed in another truck it should still work fine in mine?

When you install it will ask for security code. Enter code and should work fine. I swapped from 7” to 8.4” and everything worked fine. Most likely will need to switch your XM service over to new radio.

Plenty of videos on YouTube to walk you through it
Yea I know how to do it. Just wasn't sure if since the Vin is assigned with the other gladiator I wasn't sure if there will be a conflict when I plug it into mine. Thank you 😊

Would I need anything else like the LTE antenna or anything else?

I didn’t use LTE so didn’t bother but would need to install if you want to use that service. There will not be any over the air updates without it but you can download to thumb drive and load updates in the future that way

Definitely assigned to VIN but that is what the 4 digit security code is used for.

What vehicle is it coming out of? I'd make sure the mounting brackets are the same. One out of a RAM or another Jeep won't be an issue, but one out of a Challenger or Charger won't fit properly.

You should do a bit more research on this forum. The radio isn’t the only thing that needs swapping. There is the dash buttons as well. If you look at in the uconnect thread there’s a lot more info about the swap.

It's from another gladiator.

The only volume control you will have will be the steering wheel unless you go to infotainment.com and get the front dash kit (hvac).
