Before I go to the dealer any tips? uConnect support gave me instructions to reset the radio by holding the top right corner of the display screen. Didn't work.

@zsg1313

What's the issue you are having with UConnect?

A sure fire way to reboot UConnect:
With motor running pull fuse F97, wait say 10 seconds and plug fuse F97 back in. Now, go back in the JL and turn ignition off, open drivers door, wait a minute and then restart the JL.....

I'll give it a shot. Over the last week or two the thing just reboots over and over while driving.

Issue has gotten consistently worse and seems to coincide with me letting all my Sirius guardian stuff expire. Now I'm lucky if the screen does NOT turn on, because if it does the volume stays locked and I can't shut the damn thing off. Dealer appt. next Thursday.

Did you upgrade to 40.1? I’d do that before going to the dealer. At best that’s what they’re going to do.

I'm not sure what version I'm on. I assume the ota updates do that. I'd love to avoid the dealer with an aftermarket sub, amp and tazer. This is the first vehicle I haven't immediately ripped the radio out. If I can get it stay on long enough I'll try to find the version.

I mean I love Gojira blasting but not when it's turning on and off every 3 seconds.

Dealer released the vehicle back to me. They were unable to run any diagnostics because I was dumb and didn't plug the cables back into the extension cable for the tazer. Everything seems to be working great now knock on wood but I think I'll need to use a different dealer if it acts up again. Lesson learned, don't wait until the last minute to unmarry and go back to stock.

2018 JLU No Audio when Jeep engine is running, power off Jeep with doors still closed and BOOM audio works.

Called UConnect, they said that I had to take the Jeep to the dealership and have them update the firmware. So I took the Jeep to the dealership and they updated the firmware to 40.1 (the latest firmware).

The dealer called and said the Jeep was fixed. We paid $160.00 and left the dealership. 10 minutes later NO audio. Pulled over, turned Jeep Off and Started backup - NO audio. With Jeep running I reset UConnect, pulled F97 fuse to no avail.

Returned to the dealership and they had tech look at it right away. Tech states that the radio needs replaced. Out of warranty it will cost around $950.00.

I don't think it is the radio, but the configuration with the UConnect and AMP control.

What do you think?
