How in depth would be recommended? Just a simple, spray with Rustoleum or Mopar paint code and clear coat or powder coat?

I guess it's all subjective at the end of the day but doing a color match is cool. Love the red rings with the red Jeep or Mojitio match

That all depends on how far you want to go. You could simply prep and rattle can them, have them powder coated, or go all the way up to base coat clear coating them in the OEM color.

one way to do it: spray some plastic-dip before you put the paint and clear coat and it becomes easily reversible to stock or different color.

I had a local paint shop mix me a can of my color (~40$), and with clear coat on top, people are generally surprised to hear it’s not an oem-color matched option.

Looks great! How durable is that? I know its obvious any off roading will scuff anything up but asking more along the lines of can it be peeled by hand easily? Sorry if it's an obvious answer, can't say I have much experience with Plastidip

They’ve taken a year+ of city driving, a handful of camping/mediocre trails and a few pressure washes without any blemishes. It will peel if you use your nail to tear/catch on to a place-from my experience, a light first dust coat of PD, followed by a few layers of thicker coats, before paint and clear coat make it thick enough to last and super easy to remove.

I did the same for my charge port cover and door handles, wholly expecting them to get marked up from constant use but they’ve also lasted without any visible wear.

i hate scratching poodled coatings off stuff that is designed to make contact in routine use. i went completely in the other direction.

i had my Lock Rings stripped and blasted to bare metal; nothing to scratch off, and scrapes are much less obvious.

All 5 of my Methods have tons of rock rash on them. People either think I cant drive or know whats up is the way I look at it lol

well you apparently do not have my impeccable eye for style....people tell me I have a knack for getting the look just right...I was able to throw this together in about 10 minutes...
