Taking off the beauty rings from the XR wheels and leaving it that way (on purpose) equates to taking off the seat fabric and driving on the bare foam. You can do it, but why?

I saw a High Tide just like mine, same color even, at a dealer’s used car lot last year. In addition to having dulled paint from lack of care, the previous owner had removed the fender flare extensions, a signature feature of the XR package. Ruined the look. Only thing worse would have been the wheel rings being gone.

I agree with you on the wheel rings, but disagree on the flare extensions. They always looked like an afterthought to me.

I’m not a big fan of the flare extensions either for the same reason. However, I’m even less of a fan of rock chipped paint so mine are staying along with the Rokblolz guards I added.
