Howdy all,
I have searched a few places and haven’t found an answer. Out of curiosity, what is the difference between the Xtreme Recon and the Xtreme 35 tire package? I keep seeing both mentioned but can find what’s different between the two. If nothing, why would they change it…Recon sounds cooler than 35 ?

Just looked at the Jeep website and for 2024 it only mentions the Xtreme 35 package. My guess is they are the same and it was just a rename for 2024.

That’s about the same info I’m finding. Thanks for replying.

From what I understand the XR / Xtreme Recon package is history. There's now an Xtreme 35 package and an X package (which includes the Xtreme 35 package).

“Recon” is the name of a vehicle now. It’s just a rebranding to avoid confusion. Except of course, now we have the Rubicon X, which includes the Xtreme package… unless you row your own, in which case I guess the X stands for something else. Yup, avoids… confusion.

The coolest thing about the newly named Xtreme 35 Package is you can now get it on 2-door JL's!?

Yeah, my wife is trying to build a 2-door with the Xtreme 35 package now. Wants an automatic, but absolutely did not want a hard top or the 3.6, but it looks like she has to get the 3.6 and all the fluff in the X package.

When I ordered Feb 19th the ONLY way to get the 35" tire package on the 2-door was with the 2.0. I really wanted the 3.6 as I had decided to use the new-in-box Edelbrock Supercharger I bought for my '20 JLR on the '24 JLRX...
Jeep's press release even stated only the 2.0 for JL 2-door's.

I'm waiting for the 2025 model. Hopefully Jeep will offer the 3.6 V6/auto with the Xtreme package on the 2-door. No thanks on the turbo 4 cylinder.

That's the combo that my wife is about to order. She wanted the 2.0 auto 2-door with a soft top and 35s, but you can't order that right now.

I had thought about that but for multiple reasons wanted my 2-door with the Xtreme Package for this summer. :)
