Lets say, you are broken down far out in nowhere, you are out of food, only have 3 oz of water left, no cell or sat reception, too far to walk out and the only person that you have seen in 3 days drives up to you and asks if you need help. This Jeep, of course, has an angry grill. What do you do?

I am kind of "to each their own" but I don't like when people put 20+ wheels on their Jeeps and I don't like Jeeps that don't see dirt at all. When I first entered the Jeep game, which wasn't long ago, I thought angry grills looked cool. Once I learned the heritage of Jeeps and their following, I more understood the grill issues. What confuses me is now, is all the people that were complaining about the 2024 grill and being mad about it and a few months later, they are purchasing the 2024 grill for their pre-24 Jeeps.

Living in Phoenix maybe half of the Wrangler owners even attempt the Jeep wave. None driven by women for some reason. Angry Jeeps rarely offer the wave either. It's like high-fiving someone and they leave you hanging here. Makes me offer the wave less but I really try.

Probably 95% of the Wranglers I see with angry grills are JKs. JK had THE WORST factory grill in wrangler history and many owners jumped on the easily installed angry fad at the time.

By now I'm sure most of those JKs are being driven by a different owner who is not responsible for F-ing up the front of it.

why promote unpleasantness?

i would tend to wave at J**ps whose build i admire and/or find attractive and/or would encourage.

And here I thought the JL grill was the worst of all time* since they had to angle the grill back for fuel economy.

*Second only to the YJ

There's a difference between not wanting to wave at someone and being nice. You can not wave and still be nice. Some of you all are thinking way too much into this lol. Not waving doesn't make you a dick.

I wave at fellow Wrangler and Gladiator owners without concern for their modifications.

Why I do so, in fact why anyone would or wouldn't, I feel, is only answered by first addressing a more broad question: which is why we wave at fellow Jeepers in the first place.

To my way of seeing things, YMMV, the wave recognizes affinity with a brand--which then brings us to the question of what that brand represents.

The Jeep was recognized by President Eisenhower as one of top three or four vehicles that helped win WW II. That win promoted our way of life where freedom, and the right to customize things to our liking, and respect other's right to same (provided the message is individual expression and not bigotry based), even if not our taste, is what's important.

And that's why I wave without regard to mods, angry eyes or not.

Yep, I wave at pretty much anything that has seven slots in the grill, looks like a Jeep or does a courtesy….

Side question? Why do you folks hate that mod so much? People buy a jeep and change every facet of it but you touch the grill and it’s the worst thing ever and the owner is shamed for it.

Yeah, that's a no for me. I get that I'm not going to like every mod that's done to a Jeep, and I'm sure people don't like things I've done to mine. The Angry grill, and some of the others I've seen need to burn. That's the one mod that most real Jeep people can agree is horrible.
