This on both 23s and 24s, on the lot or order? Is the discount arrived at by dealer keeping any rebates or incentives?

Be forewarned, If you have any life altering situations where you can not pick up a Jeep that you ordered from them, Gupton will not refund your deposit.
Not trying to be insulting, just presenting facts.

Renee and Gupton have been great with us. I have purchased two wranglers a ‘22 jlu Willy’s xr and a ‘23 jlu 4xe Sahara. Easiest purchasing process I’ve ever had.

I also had a pleasant experience with them on my 21 JLUR. Sorry about your life altering situation @Thunderjet. That sucks. However, if I recall, the refund was non-refundable, right?

If so, they weren't obligated to return the deposit regardless of your unfortunate circumstance. That's the roll of the dice we take when we get into a non-refundable agreement.

Your absolutely correct.

However, Instead of selling the Jeep to me for 7% under invoice they are now free to sell it for more profit. You would think they could show a little compassion as they would make more profit since I was unable to pick it up.
Refunding my deposit would of not hurt their bottom line at all.

I had a great experience dealing with Gupton and Renee on my 23 jlu. All new future Ram or Jeep vehicles will be purchased with their assistance.

Being able to custom order a Wrangler to your exact specs isn't available at most dealers. And the deal Gupton does is great and only requires a $1,000 deposit. Pretty awesome.
If there was a dramatic life occurrence and you had to lose you deposit then that is bad luck. You probably made the correct choice in dealing with that instead of picking up a new vehicle. Sorry that happened to you but thousands have great experiences. And for them selling the vehicle for more than what you ordered it for, that is what the market will bear for a vehicle that is available right then and there. Good for them that they made every penny they could. They still own the risk of it not selling and sitting there.

Sorry for your situation. However, from their standpoint I understand. Granger just raised their deposit from $100 to $1k, non refundable. My brother bought a new C8 from one of the major east coast dealers that sell at MSRP, $3k non refundable. A C8 is MUCH easier to sell than a Wrangler. These dealers are offering a great benefit, and it sounds like it's been getting abused. While maybe you had more complicated circumstances, there are many more people who just place deposits all over the place and back out. By raising the deposit amount and making it nonrefundable, the dealership is going to get more serious customers.

All dealers can custom order? Getting them at invoice or below that’s different and not all dealers do that

I have bought two vehicles from Daniel and Renee. I think they are awesome. I love my 2023 392, and I followed up with a 2024 Ram Rebel (5.7L). Both experiences were great and they are fantastic folks. Daniel has a 392 and Renee was driving a Wrangler too!
