So the dash was constantly telling me that the auto stop/start system was charging the battery and not operational (I don't use it anyway, im just OCD as hell). After research/review, I decided to go ahead and swap both out for a premium setup.
First of all, this was amazingly simple, only requiring the following;
- 10mm socket
- 10" extension
- #6 torx socket (to remove/reinstall the factory aux battery posts)
- Jet dielectric coating
The entire process took about 25 minutes, with only two hands.
I replaced the factory battery with an Odyssey ODP AGM94R H7 L4 ( https://www.odysseybatteries.com/odyssey/ps94r_850.html ), and the auxiliary battery with an Interstate MTX-AUX12 Premium ( https://www.interstatebatteries.com/products/mtx-aux12/2021-jeep-wrangler-v630l ).
Absolute breeze with the only snag being the pesky plastic clip on the positive main terminal, and a medium flat head screw driver made for an easy release. I definitely recommend this setup as replacements, as they blow the factory specs out of the water. $500 total investment, in my driveway.
