I bought a Dual Zone ATC and put it in mine, I did have to add the cabin temp sensor and change the Sun sensor. It works OK, not great. After that control came out I thought about getting one.

Did anybody tried it already? I bought this new center stack on ebay but still waiting for it.
I did it to both of my JLUs I did add the cabin sensor and swapped the sun sensor. Everything workes as it should! Also Used JScan for both!

What’s the sun sensor for? My jeeps not wired for the cabin sensor so I’m banking on the hope of using the right setting for that center stack to work.

You it’s on top of the dash drivers side. Looks like a little dome

You shouldn’t need to change the Sun sensor as that is only for the Automatic Temperature Control, with the posted Manual Temperature Control it should be plug and play.

Solid, I’ll find out in about two weeks when it ships. I’ve been using my

This is a really good point, I have a different center stack for HVAC controls! Good call!

Just finished the swap to the 8.4 from the 7, but it seems a little glitchy. I’m thinking it’s cause i’m still running the analog AC controls instead of the digital controls from the new hvac stack. Anyone experienced this? Or is it like a learning curve learning my jeeps settings and what it has or doesn’t have? Video in google drive link

It’s like it ghost presses back to whatever media be it bluetooth or carplay, the big where it wouldn’t let me adjust the equalizer went away so that’s working now but the random ghost clicks seem persistent.

It usually take a bit for it to learn all the settings in your Jeep. Overnight is not unheard of. As for the ghost clicks, idk, is it a new unit? Try cleaning the screen, does it have a screen protector on it?

it can take overnight to learn the jeep . mine took overnight to be complete and work normal . i went back and forth a few times over 2 hrs and still had weird crazy things going on as well . volume not working, speaker fade, hvac controls. but i gave up went to bed and it worked fine
let it be, check it in the morning

Not a new unit, but it does have minor marks. I’m gonna wipe the screen down again and see if that helps anything. Cant imagine it actually caused anything negative. Nothing screams physical damage, so i’m thinking it’s just being funny; and his packaging(member on here) was phenomenal lol, packing peanuts galore. I didn’t know, and there’s a few that i’ll find one day.

That being said, Im gonna give it a few days. And I’ll figure out again once I install the new HVAC stack.

Also, it seems it still has LTE? Would I be able to keep that active and change it my own uconnect account and get OTA updates?

I know several have tried to get a new radio associated with their vin, idk if they have been successful. I recall threads with many calls to Uconnect. At any rate you would need the LTE antenna at a minimum.
Probably the easiest way to get the updates is with a usb drive, there is a long thread about that on here.
