I've used covercraft for all my cars. Always worked great. I'm going to order one for when my jl comes in.

I think it just became available. I googled the part number, only came up with 2 places selling it so far. Here is where I ordered from, free shipping.

You can choose between jk and jl.

Let me know how it is when you receive it. The pic shows a notch for windshield so not sure if it’s the newest and latest (because JL doesn’t need a windshield notch)... might just be the pic. If it’s good, let me know and I might have to get another.

It is just a stock photo. Not the specific one you would receive, but I'll post photos once it arrives.

Waiting to see how it looks also. I don't want the cutout either.

Does a $55+ one work better then a $39 one. NOoooo.

The $39 offering that others here have purchased fits well, has no cutout.
Those cheaper roll up ones don't have foam board which act as an insulator. So yeah, the $55 one will work a little better than the $39.

I'm not knocking the others, I just want a little bit better custom shade. Have you ever used a Covercraft? I have. They're better.

Yes, a few years back I had one in a 911, I owned. I learned since then that a $39 windshield screen does pretty much ... almost exactly, the same as a $55 one does. Guess I'm cheap when it comes to windshield sun screens. To each his own. 8-)

Spends 50k on a Jeep, skimps out on $16 more expensive sun shade. :giggle:

I've had both as well. I'll gladly pay for the foam board one. Works better, in my opinion. And looks so much better than the roll up ones.

Who paid $50k?!?!? Lol kidding.

Trust me, all my other cars have Covercrafts and I love them... but I’m waiting to get one till one of you gets it and please snap pics, then I’ll order one. I already have a buyer of my roll up one :)

Another vote for the Covercraft... not only does it noticeably cut down on the hellish Texas heat, but looks 10,000% better in fit and finish than the tin foil looking ones. I chose a gold/copperish color and it has a grey felt looking backing.

I bought a roll of reflextix from Lowes and cut it to fit. Took me about 15 min tops

Just received my covercraft sunshade today. As expected, this thing is made really well. In my opinion, it’s the best sunshade on the market. You get what you pay for!

I was a little disappointed when I opened the box because of the dip at the top. I was hoping that it go straight across for 100% blockage.

After installing, I realized they had to cut the dip in the shade so it would fit. The rear view mirror gets in the way and requires the dip. I even have my rear view mirror flipped so that it’s raised a little.

You’ll see in one of my pictures I flipped the sunshade upside down to the flat side. I tried to install but the rear view mirror gets in the way.

Hope this helps you guys out.

Thanks for the pic... yeah, I was curious why it needed the cutout. They should have been able to install it by sliding the shade under the mirror first, then tucking the rest of it in. That's how I did the roll up one... extend/open it fully flat then slide it in. I think I'll keep my roll up for now - will keep my eye on if Covercraft updates their design.
