I have had my JL for a little over a year now. Enjoyed a winter with it and now heading into the summer months to get ready and enjoy some doors off-top off fun! I am super impressed with it overall and today I even managed to get 1003km on a single tank of gas. I commute on maintained backroads averaging about 85-90km/h on them all the way to work.

Anyway, went to gas up and estimate range is 1058km. Super impressed- especially with these high gas prices?
Just wanted to share, wranglers can be fuel wise too!

Using 5W30 oil, it must be the 2.0.

I think that's because Jeep is at heart an All-American vehicle and it stubbornly doesn't understand kilometers.

It's confused. Shhh!!! Don't say anything!

I'd be interested to see what real world mileage (kilometer...age, kiloage?) you are getting vs. what the computer is saying. If you don't mind, next time you gas up could you reset one of the trip meters and run the numbers on the subsequent fill up? Just out of curiosity. Not that it matters to me, I don't have the 2.0. But curious nonetheless.

So I did just that and took a photo of my fill up. I filled up at 42309 the last tank and this one filled up at what you see above (43265). I had 47 km remaining (probably could have gone a bit further than that) hence the 1003km. So I filled up after getting 956 real world km - but definitely could have squeezed that extra 47 (and then some) heading to work this morning.

Translation: 33 mpg and about 620 miles per tank!

That’s pretty impressive! Can you share a little about your driving style and speeds, etc? Lots of highway?

That is amazing. I really wish I had gone with the 2.0L at the time but there was only one JL available in my area when it was released. I recently swapped the 35's off and put the 33's back on and am getting about 3 or 4 mpg more. Absolute madness.

Thank you for the conversion lol!
Appreciate the reply, to be honest, I just drive the speed limit, maybe 8-10kmph over (5-6mph) the speed limited at times. Coast when I can. I take maintained backroads so very little stop and go traffic. Play some tunes from the 50s to and you’re good to go!

You know what, I think the biggest thing is the 8 speed transmission. The 3.6 is great, 2.0L probably edges it out a bit but I am firm believer that this transmission is what allows the range to get so far. Tire size is also a huge factor! On 33s I average about 8.4L/100km. So that’s using a whole litre more per every 100 km I drive compared to now where I used 7L of fuel per every 100Km travelled (just under 2 gallons of fuel for every 60 miles-ish)

I am seeing close to this as well, not quite as much. I may have a heavier foot. LOL. Since the fuel prices have gotten stupid I have been in what I call Grandma mode and the 2.0L has been getting between 25 and about 40 miles to the gallon. Love it.

Haven't looked at the overall range in a while because I don't fill it up. I am only 4 miles from work so, I drop about $40 in it and I went 2 weeks without putting any fuel in.

That’s fantastic to hear others are getting similar! Love the 2.0!
