I have a Dometic CFX3 45 on the way. Hoping to receive it before a little Father's Day trip I have planned.

We’re going to pick ours up as soon as 4WP opens this morning. Is there anything specific you’re trying to find out or just a general review after it’s been used?

I’m curious as to how it fits behind the drivers side rear seat with the seat up. I’m kinda leaning towards a dometic CFX3-55 but the arb 47 is also on the list

We have the ARB Zero 47 and just took it out for a shakedown overnighter (along with a new Gobi rack and RTT), and it worked great. We kept the battery protection setting at maximum and it did shut down sometime during the night, but the temp had only risen 1 degree by morning.

So the ARB is a beautiful fridge. Very impressed with the fit and finish. It looks like it will fit with the rear seats up but barely. I’d be a little concerned about airflow around the compressor. Unfortunately though, I don’t have a good way to power it for multiple days off grid so returning it. Once I get a second battery and some panels I’d definitely buy it or an ARB again. Have no experience with small portable Dometic fridges but the ARB sets the bar high.

The ZERO fridges are pretty sweet, I have the 73Q, and its a monster!
They have the best design out there since they are so new.
ARB fridges are produced by Dometic, however they use the ARB designed outer shell and functional specs to make it their own.
Get yourself a Jackery or similar and you will have power for days :)

So that’s what I was trying to get but the name brand ones will take too long to show up. I ordered, then cancelled a knockoff after I read that it would only run a 12v fridge for 6 hrs. Is that what you’re using and are you using solar panels?

Yes, we have the Jackery 1000 Power Station.
We have not gotten the panels yet, however it lasts about 28 hours straight.

IS it on the driver or passenger side? Do you have it on a fridge slide? What Part is close? Was looking at either the CFX3 45 or 55 and shoving it on a slide on the driver side but was concerned with the tailgate bump

I have it on the drivers side due to other things I have setup.
No slide, not sure it would even fit with one.
It's shoved in the corner to help miss the tailgate bump and I replaced the handles because one was hitting the tailgate bump.
If you want the slide then the 45 is a sure thing, the 55 probably needs some finessing (if it even works)

I really wanted to go with the 55 since it has a lot more space than the 45 considering we are a family of 4. I also have a cargo shelf which is why i need the slide. Do you have any picture of how tight it is on the back seat and the bump with the tailgate closed? if you were to lift the fridge and put it on a 1" block you would have zero chance of closing tailgate?
