Now that the Gladiator has come to market. I’m confident that during the next redesign of the Wrangler, it will have space for a hellcat engine to meet government regulations and pass crash tests.

It likely won’t be a huge seller, but pricing will make up for it. I think there is market potential for a 70-90K Wrangler; especially since the demographic who buys Wranglers has expanded. The Rubicon is already 60K with options..

There was a roundtable discussion by 4 FCA wrangler Execs last month. They said the same as the Autoblog article. I think I remember them saying it would fit BUT can't meet Federal Crash Requirements.

I would think maybe if you put some reinforcement ramp like plate so the engine would slide under the jeep, maybe it would be safer?

Or better yet, the sensors that deploy the airbags are hooked to some of those faulty Tanaka recall air bags (probably a super cheap buy) that are strategically placed to eject the engine out of the Jeep in the event of a major accident! Drivers and passengers fully protected and we recycle unsafe parts for safety!

As for those outside of the Jeep.....I'm sorry I don't have all the answers....

They have a hellcat JLUR at Jeep Only here in Las Vegas. They also have a JT with the demon motor in it full king suspension and a whole mess of others things. $200k

I’ll just drool over it.
