Had some work done last week that I wanted to share. Installed a new lift kit, shocks, and power steps. Took the Jeep on a shake down run to Brown Mountain in NC this weekend and I love how it performs on the rocks. Drives really well on road too.

- Teraflex 2.5" Alpine CT2 Lift Kit
- Bilstein 5160 Reservoir Shocks
- Rockslide Engineering powersteps

Looks great! Do the steps stay down with the tube doors?
Installed a switch to remember mode up or down, handy for trails so steps stay up on the rocks. I've ordered a second set of magnets for the tube doors so they operate as with the normal doors.

I finally found the magnets when I actually remembered to research how the closing mechanism works  I would like to add a set in for my JCR Half Doors but may have to add some sort of L- bracket to hold the magnet close enough to the sensor.

Where do you intend to mount your magnet onto your tube doors? I assume the side of the door that will be closest to the sensor is rounded and not flat so are you just going to slap a magnet on there, or are you on the spectrum like me and want something that appears clean and professional? 🍻

It will be professional, not thrown together. I have a couple ideas, but I may also ask the shop who installed my steps if they have a better plan. They did a real clean job on my steps. All wires hidden. I love 'em. Originally I got them because the wife and kids were already having a hard time getting into Taz when I went up to 35's, and with the lift going in had to do the steps together. I've grown to really like them. Cheers!

I've got the RSE steps as well with the extra rock protection plate. Pricey, but totally worth it. Did you ever look into tube doors or others that allow you to key your master key to the door so it is lockable? Just so no one walks off with my tube doors on a dark night.

Never thought of that. I got the mopar ones cheap from a friend. I like that they don't rattle on the rocks. It would take a minute to walk off with my tube doors since they screw in with the T50 bolts the same as the regulars. But that's not a bad idea.

Appreciate the idea on the extra magnets. I was not going to get tube doors and just drive with my doors off and turn off my steps. Good idea just to get any type of tube doors so my magnets work and thus my steps.
