I came across this neat video that basically explains the various forces and components at play in off roading with a Jeep using a motorized Lego vehicle. Worth the 5 minutes.

I’m thinking someone needs to build a rock crawler buggy with a motorized middle joint and a bunch of undercarriage armor. It’d be unstoppable.

#1 - that's a really cool idea
#2 - that's even realistic with an electric platform that gets rid of all the moving parts and using a motor for each wheel.
