  1. (Solved) 2021 4xe Battery Capacity after 15 Months-Lost 5 miles of range

A little bit of perspective from a Tesla owner(used to own a JLUR which is why I'm on the forum). On average, 10% degradation of the entire battery capacity is fairly normal within the first year of ownership. At this point, it levels off and you should see very minimal degradation there after...
  2. Countdown to silly, pointless lights on the Wrangler?

I saw some news on that yesterday. Unfortunately I don't know how much that'll help since most blinding headlights come from vehicles that have been modified (lifted, without proper re-aiming), or HID/LED upgrades in otherwise halogen housings. Even the factory Jeep LED's are not real fun to...
  3. Countdown to silly, pointless lights on the Wrangler?

in all fairness, if you want to be critical of bright blinding headlights, look no further than this community for equal if not greater offenders. lol. As a side rant, blinding bright headlights from Teslas, to Jeeps, to lifted vehicles is becoming a serious problem for my aging eyes. (I'm only...
  4. Jeep owners and politics - uplifting observation

It's been my observation there's a growing trend of wanting to tell people what you think, rather than understand what people think. Right there with everyone else. Sometimes I enjoy a good thought provoking conversation, but it's becoming challenging finding people to have them with.
  5. TrailRecon drops the Diesel

He mentions overheating when towing a 2500 lb trailer while presumably off-roading through some long mountain trails. To be fair, is there ANY production diesel where that wouldn't be a problem? There are times where i'm offroading through some steep trails and my engine temps are reaching...
  6. Mopar lift- what is a reasonable labor estimate?

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but the "official" job also includes some kind of ECU/transmission tuning update. When I got a quote from my dealer, it was about 2400 (parts and labor, california prices) and they said part of that time was a software update. It may seem trivial to 99% of...
  7. Not in Park, won’t turn off or start

wow, the irony. I owned a 2020 JLUR 2.0 with no issues for a year. However, I was in Hawaii this past week - rented a jeep wrangler sahara to rekindle fond memories. The last day of our trip, got in the vehicle to drive back to the airport, experienced the EXACT issue you had. Tried to...
  8. Is a JL wrangler a good daily driver???

I did not find my 2020 JLUR with updated steering box to be "acceptable" for daily driving. Everyone has different levels of tolerance for what is "ok". Undesirable gas mileage combined with vague steering is not conducive for daily driving. However, it was definitely cool while I had it.
  9. TFL compares the 4Runner to JL Willys Sport.

I think something people often overlook, I suspect much of this tuning has to deal with emissions compliance too. The reason why so many toyota drivers swear OV TUNE is how their tacoma's and 4 runners should have left the factory, is because Toyota had to calibrate their vehicles to certain...
  10. Rubicon rock rails (free), Freedom Panel bag (20 bucks)?

Hi guys, Was cleaning out my garage and have a few things laying around I'd like to get rid of. Would anyone be interested in picking up practically new Rubicon rock rails (4 door) for free? Just need to drive to La Habra. Also have freedom panel storage bag I'd sell for 20 bucks? LMK and thanks.
  11. Max Payload for Overlanding

I don't think anyone has mentioned it yet, but don't forget to factor the weight of water. It's heavy and adds up fast. I used to go car camping with my friends (overlanding), I slept inside the jeep, didn't even bother with ground tent. 8 gallons of water in the rear cargo area is already...
  12. 315/70/17 on Rubicon stock wheels/bump stops question.

I had a plastic rear bumper which didn't result in any issues. I had about 1 inch of clearance still. I've read from other users the steel bumper will rub slightly. Per the same response i just posted to the person above, IF it were me, I'd probably get the spare tire relocation kit/riser. I...
  13. 315/70/17 on Rubicon stock wheels/bump stops question.

It's been my experience upgrading to a 315 or true 35 won't result in any issues with the factory 3rd brake light if you have a Rubicon tire carrier. (stock on Rubicons). I had the plastic rear bumper and did not have issues there either. However, I've read from other users, 315's may rub...
  14. What is one of the most overlooked features of your Jeep?

Similar to the post above, the front windshield. The way I sat in the jeep there were less instances where I had to use a sun visor to keep the sun out of my face. And the fact it’s so easy to reach up and clean it from the inside. Never noticed out inconvenient big long sloping windshields...
  15. F/S Rigid DSS-pro, rigid cowls, BD squadron fogs

  16. Tazer lite JL compatible with JT?

Hi there, I have a tazer lite for my JL. Is it also compatible with a JT gladiator? Going to be selling my jeep and want to know if I can just give it to a relative with a gladiator. Properly unmarried of course.
  17. I’m stuck at lake Powell (page Az)

Sorry I've been MIA. I'm normally pretty active on the forum but there's been a little lost love for the jeep and everything jeep right now, lol. A few people asked how much I paid for recovery. I was able to get in touch with a local family owned tow company in a nearby town (Page AZ). They...
  18. How Can We Help?

Thanks Benny, I ordered the tail light via your link. I took care of the bumper cover locally.
  19. How Can We Help?

Can I get a price quote for a driver side rear LED tail light w/blind spot monitoring. Also a stock plastic bumper cover with reflectors? thanks!
