Never understood the idea of bringing all that extra weight from a camping stove set up, when all you really need is a hatchet and some waterproof matches. Which mind you, you're probably going to be carrying anyways.
I understand it's easier to cook more complex meals on a stove, but are you really camping if you're not cooking on a wood fire? Feels more like glamping with all your fancy sophisticated meals.
Chances are you're going to start a fire to sit around once it's dark, so why not start that fire a little earlier and cook on it?
Think about it, that extra 20 lbs you're saving not carrying around a camping stove and fuel, could fit an extra Coors 24 pack... They take up about the same amount of space!
What do y'all use, fancy fairy glamping stoves, or are you a real man cooking on a fire pit?
